Good things are happening, too.

Daymend brings you seven carefully chosen good-news stories each day. You'll read hopeful, feel-good news about people helping each other, research making a difference, and nature recovering.

Each story has a short summary, the name of its source, and a link to the original article. Read when it suits you, and follow the link if you'd like to know more. When you've read all seven, you're done for the day. There are no ads or endless feeds, so it works as a gentle news detox, not one more thing to scroll.

Your daily seven are free. When you set up the app, pick the topics you care about from 12 categories, like climate, health, animals, and science, and your seven lean toward them. You can turn on a reminder at a time you choose, note how you feel before and after reading, save stories, keep a reading streak, and share a story you liked. Once your seven have loaded, you can read them offline, and the app has both light and dark themes. Sign in with Google or with your email.

With Daymend Premium, you can explore the full, searchable library and its collections, and look back on every day of your reading year. You also get a deeper look at your mood check-ins, with a breakdown by category and the story linked to your highest average mood change each month.

Daymend is available in English, Spanish, Swedish, German, and Brazilian Portuguese.

Daymend Premium is an optional auto-renewing subscription, monthly or yearly, bought through Google Play and charged to your Google Play account. Eligible new subscribers can start with a free trial. Google Play shows the price for your country, and any trial length, before you confirm. Your subscription renews automatically unless you cancel. To avoid the next charge, cancel in the Google Play Store (Payments & subscriptions, then Subscriptions) before the trial or current billing period ends.
