Hush turns your spare phone or tablet into a smart cry detector: on-device AI recognizes your baby's cry, starts a soothing sound automatically and sends an instant alert to your phone. Plus 10 sleep sounds based on infant sleep research.

No expensive hardware. No complicated setup. Works across iPhone, iPad and Android.

SMART NANNY™ — AUTOMATIC SOOTHING

Place your spare phone near your baby's crib. Hush uses on-device AI to tell your baby's cry apart from everyday background noise — not a simple volume threshold. When it hears crying, it starts a calming sound automatically.

• Real-time AI cry detection — not just a noise meter
• Adjustable sensitivity for quiet or noisier rooms
• Cry detection works without internet
• Set up in under 60 seconds

PARENT ALERTS

Pair your own phone with a QR code. When crying is detected, you get a notification — even from another room or floor. An old iPhone in the nursery and your Android with you (or vice versa) work together. Alerts need an internet connection.

10 SLEEP SOUNDS

• White, pink and brown noise
• Heavy Rain and Velvet Rain™
• Womb Sounds and Heartbeat
• Shusher, Fan and Hair Dryer
• Mix sounds and set each volume separately
• Ready-made mixes: Colic Relief, Deep Sleep, Newborn Comfort, Teething Soothe
• Timer: 15, 30 or 60 minutes, or continuous play

In a clinical study, 80% of newborns fell asleep within 5 minutes with white noise (Spencer et al., 1990).

In a randomized trial with colicky babies, white noise reduced daily crying and increased total sleep time compared with swinging (Sezici & Yiğit, 2018).

ALWAYS FREE & AD-FREE ESSENTIALS

White Noise, Heavy Rain and Fan are free forever. Zero ads, zero interruptions, no subscription required for these sounds.

PRIVACY-FIRST DESIGN

Unlike devices that stream audio or video through the cloud, Hush analyzes sound on your phone. Audio is processed in memory and immediately discarded — never recorded, never stored, never uploaded.

• On-device AI — audio never leaves your phone
• No audio recording or cloud storage
• Your data is never sold to third parties
• Internet is used only to deliver alerts
• No audio on servers. No recordings to leak.

YOUR SPARE PHONE, GIVEN A NEW JOB

Got an old phone in a drawer? Hush turns it into a cry detector and sleep sound machine — no extra hardware to buy.

Perfect for:
• Everyday use at home
• Travel — no extra gear to pack
• Naps at the grandparents' house
• A lower-cost alternative to buying a dedicated baby monitor

HOW IT WORKS

1. Install Hush on your spare phone and place it near the crib
2. Install Hush on your own phone and pair with the QR code
3. Choose a sleep sound, or let your baby fall asleep in silence
4. Hush listens. If your baby cries, a soothing sound starts and you get a notification.
