Quit smoking. Stop drinking. Put the vape down. Stop scrolling at 2 am. Whatever the habit, Roots turns quitting it into something you can see.

Plant a seed for every habit you want to stop — cigarettes, alcohol, vaping, social media, junk food, sugar, gambling, gaming, porn, or anything you name yourself. Every hour you hold out, that plant grows: from a buried seed, to a sprout, to a sapling, to a tree, and finally to an ancient tree at 90 days. Slip up, and it goes back to a seed.

Your streak stops being a number you forget about and becomes something you can look at, and something you don't want to lose.

WHAT'S INSIDE

🏡 A garden that grows with you
Every clean day of every plant adds up. Bare soil turns into stepping stones, a spring, flowers, a pond, lanterns and, at a year, cherry blossom: ten stages, and a slip never takes one away.

🌱 A garden of four plants
Track up to four habits at once. Each gets its own plant, its own colour, and its own spot in the garden. Open the app and the whole picture is there.

⌛ A streak timer that never stops
Days, hours, minutes, seconds since your last cigarette, drink or scroll — live, for every habit. Nothing to log, nothing to tick off.

💰 The money, counted to the second
Tell Roots what a habit costs you per day and it works out exactly what you've kept so far — the pack-a-day maths, the bar tab, the takeaway. Per habit, and across all of them.

🃏 A new card every day
Facts about what is happening in your body, a mindset for the day, and milestones — one card for every clean day. Day 2 of not smoking looks different from day 30, and the cards know it.

🏆 Eight milestones per habit
1 day, 3, 7, 14, 30, 90, 180 and 365. Each one lights up as you pass it. Four badges on top: First Day, Week Warrior, 30 Day Hero and 3 Month Master.

💨 Something to do when the craving hits
Tap "I'm resisting" and Roots walks you through 90 seconds of breathing. Cravings pass on their own; the button gives you somewhere to put the next 90 seconds while they do.

📊 Your own patterns
If you do slip, Roots asks what set it off — stress, boredom, loneliness, celebration, being around other people. After a few entries it shows your number one trigger. It is often not the one you would have guessed.

👥 Friends
Add friends and see each other's gardens. A streak is easier to keep when someone can see it.

⚡ Duels
Challenge a friend to 3, 7, 14 or 30 days: your plant against theirs, first to give in loses, both still standing at the end — both win. Invite a friend who doesn't have Roots yet with a code.

🔔 Reminders that don't nag
At most one a day, never at night: your daily card in the first week, then milestones.

AN HONEST NOTE

Roots is a tracker and a motivator. It will not do the hard part for you — that part is still yours. What it does is make the days you have already earned impossible to ignore, and give you one very clear reason not to throw them away.

If you came here looking for a sober tracker, a sobriety counter, a screen time or digital detox app, a dopamine detox, a nofap counter or just a habit tracker — it is all of those. Smoking, drinking, porn and the phone are the four people name most, and it is the same tree for every one of them.

Plant the first seed and see how far it gets.
