This app helps you reduce mindless scrolling by adding a short pause before selected distracting apps.

We often open apps like Instagram, Facebook, or YouTube automatically — and time passes without notice. Moment of Niyyah introduces a calm, intentional pause so you can decide consciously whether to continue or stop.

The goal is not to block apps, but to help you use them more intentionally.

How it works

• Select the apps that usually distract you
• When you try to open one of those apps, a short pause screen appears
• Take a moment to reflect, then choose whether to continue or go back

You remain fully in control. The app does not block apps, force restrictions, or judge behavior.

Accessibility Service Usage

Moment of Niyyah uses Android's Accessibility Service API to detect when a selected app is opened. This allows the app to show the pause screen before the chosen app launches.

The Accessibility Service is used only for this core functionality.

Moment of Niyyah does NOT:

• collect personal data
• read messages or notifications
• capture screen content
• monitor typing or passwords
• send any data to external servers

All processing happens locally on your device.

Accessibility permission is optional, but it is required for the pause-before-apps feature to work.

Our goal

Moment of Niyyah is designed to be minimal, respectful, and supportive — helping you build healthier digital habits through awareness rather than restriction.
