FuelGauge is a private, offline vehicle utility designed to help you track fuel usage, monitor vehicle maintenance, and estimate trip fuel costs without requiring GPS or location access.

🚗 How FuelGauge Works

FuelGauge works using information you enter manually. The app does not need your location to calculate mileage, fuel efficiency, or trip costs.

⛽ Track Fuel & Mileage

Record your odometer reading.
Enter the amount of fuel purchased.
Record the total fuel cost.
Calculate fuel efficiency (MPG).
Monitor fuel cost per mile.

🛠️ Monitor Vehicle Maintenance
Set distance-based maintenance intervals for items such as:

Oil changes
Tire rotations
Brake checks
Other routine vehicle services

FuelGauge provides simple maintenance status indicators such as Good, Due Soon, and Overdue based on the distance information you enter.

💰 Calculate Trip Costs
Enter your trip distance, estimated fuel usage or efficiency, fuel price, and number of passengers to estimate:

Total fuel required
Estimated fuel cost
Cost per passenger
Trip fuel efficiency

For example, you can enter a 340-mile trip, fuel price, estimated MPG, and passenger count to estimate the overall fuel expense and split the cost.

🔒 Privacy-Focused & Offline

FuelGauge is designed to work without location tracking.

No GPS or location permissions are required.
No background location tracking.
Distance and mileage information is entered manually.
Vehicle, fuel, and maintenance records are stored locally on the device.
The core garage and trip logging features are designed for offline use.

FuelGauge does not need your physical location to provide its calculations.

📱 Simple Garage Utility

FuelGauge is intended as a practical personal utility for drivers who want a straightforward way to keep vehicle records and estimate fuel expenses without relying on GPS-based tracking.
