And has someone recommended to you to just think positively? What an easy thing to say, but not so easy to implement. With our constant limiting self-talk, we can create a vicious negative self-fulfilling spiral. But you can turn this around by starting a regular daily practice with positive affirmations.

Research demonstrates that affirmations and positive thinking have been shown to lead to better mental wellbeing, including greater happiness. Positive thinking increases optimism, leads to a healthier lifestyle and lowers the depression rate, anxiety, and stress. Positive affirmations will also boost your problem-solving abilities. What’s best is that positive thinking helps to mitigate the effects of stress.

Some well-known and inspiring people, who have used daily affirmations and mantras to manifest success into their lives: Jim Carrey, Jennifer Lopez, Oprah, Shawn Mendes, Lady Gaga.

Listen and repeat method

Positive affirmations can be used spoken out loud or repeated silently. For best results, the affirmations should be spoken out loud and repeated regularly, preferably in the morning and evening. This is what makes our app unique - you listen to the healing affirmation and then repeat it. Repeating positive affirmations out loud might feel awkward at first, you might not be used to telling yourself good things and the mind will try to think up excuses. It is a gradual learning process and the more you do it, the more you reprogram your brain to believe it.

How to use positive affirmations?

1. Notice negative patterns or behavior you wish to change in your life which work against you and your dreams. Turn these into positive, healing, and inspirational affirmations.
2. To work with your unconscious mind, you must be motivated to change. Visualize your goals and intentions in as much detail as possible. When repeating the affirmation, try to feel the change and get in touch with that feeling.
3. For your subconscious to hear and believe the requests, the affirmations should ideally be spoken out loud and repeated.
4. Create a ritual around this daily practice: start with morning affirmations or set aside another time of the day, light a candle, ring a bell or infuse the space with incense. Or use this app during your daily morning walk.
5. For an extra motivational boost, add sticky notes to your workplace, choose an item in your home as a trigger, set notifications on your phone, or use a screensaver, which will make you think of your affirmations during the day.
6. Ground the motivating affirmations in reality by taking small steps towards your goals.
7. Be persistent, it takes time to change your brain.
