Your NAS photos, on the TV, every time it goes idle. Dreamr is a photo screensaver for Android TV and Google TV that plays a full-screen slideshow of your pictures straight from an SMB share, an NFSv4 export or the TV's own storage. No cloud upload, no Plex or DLNA server, nothing to install on the NAS: your photos never leave your home network.

WORKS WITH YOUR NAS
• SMB shares: Windows shared folders, Synology, QNAP, TrueNAS, Unraid, OpenMediaVault
• NFSv4 exports, with UID and GID options when you need them
• A USB stick or the TV's own storage
Test Connection tells you how many photos it found before you start.

SET UP ONCE
1. Install Dreamr on the TV from Google Play.
2. Choose SMB, NFS or Local, enter the server, and pick the photo folder.
3. Make it the screensaver. Android TV: Settings › Device Preferences › Screen saver. Google TV, including Chromecast with Google TV, hides third-party screensavers, so you set Dreamr once with an ADB command from a computer; the guide is at dreamr.tv.
4. Walk away. Whenever the TV goes idle, your photos play. If the NAS sleeps or reboots, Dreamr reconnects by itself.

A DIGITAL PHOTO FRAME THE SIZE OF YOUR TV
• Full-screen slideshow with smooth crossfades, 5 seconds to 30 minutes a photo
• Shuffle with no repeats until every photo has shown
• Optional clock, current weather, and a country flag from where the photo was taken
• A dark, minimal design that looks natural in the living room
• JPEG, PNG, WebP, GIF and BMP, read straight from the share, nothing copied to the TV first

PRIVATE BY DESIGN
Photos stream over your home network only and are never uploaded. The share password is encrypted in the TV's Android Keystore, and there is no account to create. Dreamr sends anonymous usage statistics and crash reports so we can fix problems; dreamr.tv/privacy lists exactly what is sent.

WHAT IT COSTS
Free to try: the free version plays the first 10 photos in the folder, in name order. A one-off in-app purchase unlocks every photo and shuffle. There is no subscription.

ON A PHONE
Dreamr runs on the TV. From a phone, use the device menu next to Install to send it straight to your TV; the phone version itself only shows how to set up the TV.

Dreamr is made in the UK by Shogun Software. Step-by-step guides for Synology, QNAP, TrueNAS, Unraid and OpenMediaVault are at dreamr.tv.
