Want to text your ex? Give yourself a pause before deciding. Nearstep helps you keep track of no contact, write what you want to say without sending it, and prepare for the moments that feel harder. No account needed.

START WITH A PAUSE — FREE
• Take a ten-minute pause when you want to reach out, or use three questions before replying.
• Write privately and find your unsent words again later.
• See your no-contact days and keep the skies you reach. If you log reaching out or replying, the count restarts; your history stays. Necessary contact does not restart it.
• See your count on your Home Screen with the free widget. Choose from six app icons in Settings.

NEARSTEP PLUS — ONE PURCHASE, NO SUBSCRIPTION
Make a plan on a calmer day: what to do first, and what to try if the urge stays. Find that plan at the top of your next pause. Prepare for hard dates and difficult encounters, and explore when urges tend to come.

Creating new Plus plans requires a purchase. Your saved personal results remain available to read and edit. Previous purchases of Nearstep Guided Tools include Plus. There is no trial or automatic renewal; see the local price before buying.

YOUR WORDS STAY ON YOUR PHONE
Your writing is encrypted locally. No account or cloud sync, and no AI reads your text. Export or delete your records in Settings. Store and purchase providers process the technical data needed for purchases and restoration, as explained in our privacy policy.

Reminders are optional and do not reveal your words or anyone’s name. Available in English, Portuguese, Spanish, French, German and Italian.

Nearstep is not therapy, medical care or emergency support. It does not promise recovery or reconciliation. In immediate danger, contact local emergency services.
