a habit tracker for developers and minimalists — styled like the command line you live in. build daily routines, keep your streaks alive, and watch a pixel grid of your whole year fill in, one day at a time.

// quiet. opinionated. monospaced.

$ cat features.txt

[*] five ways to track a habit — a checkbox, a counter, a number, a timer, or health connect
[*] goals in both directions — "read 20 pages a day", or reversed: "no more than 4 coffees", "max 30 minutes of social media"
[*] routines — group habits into morning, workout, evening, or anything else you repeat
[*] streaks with shields — protect a 75 hard run, or any streak, from one bad day
[*] a pixel grid of everything — the contribution graph you already read every day, for your life instead of your commits
[*] four ways to look back — a habit grid, a heatmap, a habit calendar, and per-habit trends over time
[*] freeze a habit while you travel or recover, without losing the streak you built
[*] xp, levels and achievements — quietly gamified if you like that, and completely ignorable if you don't
[*] smart reminders — per habit, or one for a whole routine; useful pings, not ten-a-day spam
[*] focus timer with pomodoro — work and break sessions, with an ongoing notification while it runs
[*] 23 terminal themes, a custom theme editor and a theme marketplace — tokyo night, dracula, catppuccin, gruvbox, github dark, nord and more
[*] six monospace fonts, and a real dark mode in every dark theme
[*] health connect auto-sync — steps, sleep, exercise, distance, hydration, mindfulness, weight and more, filled in for you
[*] home screen widgets — a checklist, a mood tile, and a one-tap quick icon
[*] optional cloud sync — the same habits on your phone, on iphone, and on the web
[*] full backup export and import — your data leaves whenever you want it to
[*] passcode and biometric lock, so your habits stay yours
[*] fifteen languages — english, german, spanish, french, italian, dutch, portuguese, russian, ukrainian, polish, czech, turkish, japanese, korean and simplified chinese

$ cat what_its_good_for.txt

// a minimal habit tracker for people who like plain text, small tools and being
// left alone. the streak is the point, so it works as a streak tracker first:
// build a run, and use a shield when life gets in the way instead of starting over.
// as a routine tracker it groups the things you do together, in the order you do them.
// people use it for self-discipline, adhd routines, 75 hard, gym consistency,
// study streaks, meditation, screen-time limits, or just drinking more water.

$ cat philosophy.txt

// built solo, over hundreds of hours of real use.
// the app works offline, and it works without an account — sync is something you
// switch on, not something you agree to.
// no analytics that track who you are.
// no algorithm trying to maximise your screen time.
// no feed, no streak-shaming, and no notifications begging you to come back.
// improved constantly, by one person who uses it every day.

$ cat pro.txt

// you start with 10 habits, 2 routines, the manual tracking modes, eight themes,
// the checklist widget, and everything stored on your own device.

// pro raises the limits to 100 habits and 25 routines, and unlocks the timer and
// health connect tracking modes, all 23 themes, the custom theme editor, five more
// monospace fonts, every widget, habit colour styles, per-habit analytics, and the
// passcode and biometric lock.
