Tired of memorising word lists? Learn English by reading instead. In VocabInText you don't memorise words one by one: you meet them in short texts that are informative and fun to read.

Tap a word to see what it means. Listen to the whole text, read by a natural voice. Two new texts free every day.

TEXTS WORTH READING

History, science, nature, health, culture, travel and more. The texts are short, curious and informative, never textbook-dull. You read something interesting every day and your English grows along the way.

NOT JUST A READER. A FULL METHOD.

· Tap any word: its meaning, an example sentence and how it sounds, in a natural recorded voice
· Listen to the whole text: a natural voice reads it start to finish and the sentence being read is marked on the page
· Spaced reviews: every text comes back at set intervals so its words stay
· Quick questions after every text show how much you understood
· A word book that fills itself as you read
· A word game made of your own words, different every round
· A weekly report: your reads, your new and learned words, and the words you found hardest
· Your own plan: your level, your topics, your minutes a day; the topics you pick come first
· For Turkish speakers: press and hold a word to see the whole sentence translated, at every level

WHY READING?

A word learned from a list is often gone in a few days, because nothing reminds you of it. A word you meet in a text stays with the sentence it came in: you learn what it means and how it is used.

VocabInText adds spaced repetition. A text you read comes back after 1, 3, 7 and 14 days. Seeing a word again just as you are about to forget it moves it into long-term memory.

HOW IT WORKS

1. Choose your level and the topics you like.
2. Read a text at your level and tap any word you don't know.
3. Answer a few short questions at the end.
4. When the review day comes, read the text again. Each time it gets easier.

YOUR LEVEL'S WORDS, ALL OF THEM

The texts are not a random pick: each level's texts cover all the words of that level. Finish your level and no word is left out.

FROM BEGINNER TO ADVANCED

Hundreds of texts from A1 (beginner) to C1 (advanced). Finish the A1 and A2 texts and you will have met 97% of the 1,000 most common English words in real sentences. Finish them all and you will have seen 97% of the 3,000 most common. Most everyday English is made of these words.

AT YOUR OWN PACE

Your guide, Quill, is with you at every step and celebrates every text you finish. Word meanings in Turkish, Spanish, French, German, Italian and Portuguese up to B1; menus and buttons in any of those languages or English. No account, no sign-up. A few minutes a day is enough.
