Plurality is a private, local-first plural system app for internal communication and memory. It's a calm,
organized space for your system to track members, log fronting, and share information, ensuring
continuity across switches with no shared memory. Your data stays on your device, with no accounts
required.
For System Communication & Continuity
Plurality acts as a shared memory that persists across fronts, keeping everyone on the same page even
when handoffs happen without shared memory.
• Leave messages for each other using internal chat, polls, and a persistent message board to ensure
important information is never lost in a switch.
• Write in a shared journal with entries for the whole system or specific members, creating a trustworthy
record of thoughts and experiences.
• Stay organized with a shared calendar, complete with repeating events and notifications, so everyone
knows what's happening and when.
• Author detailed notes using Markdown for rich formatting, including images and tables, to capture
complex information clearly.
• Find anything instantly with a powerful search that covers your entire history, from journal entries to
member profiles.
Detailed Member & Fronting History
Keep a comprehensive record of your system's members and fronting history. This plural system app
makes it easy to document your system's unique structure.
• Create detailed member profiles with names, pronouns, roles, colors, avatars, and banners to give
each person their own space.
• Add custom fields to profiles for tracking any information you need, with text, number, date, and color
types for full flexibility.
• Log who is fronting, end a front, and browse your complete fronting history over any time period, from
a single day to many years.
• Discover on-device insights into your own history, like co-fronting patterns, member dormancy, or shifts
in fronting time over time.
• Track moods or states that are not a person using custom front entries, giving you a complete picture
of your system's state.
• Organize members into groups that reflect your system's structure in any way you choose, making it
easier to navigate.
Truly Private & Secure
Plurality is built on a local-first foundation, giving you complete control over your personal data. Your
information is never sent to our servers.
• Work completely offline with local-first storage that keeps all your data on your device, ensuring it's
always fast and available.
• Sync between your devices using your own cloud storage, with data encrypted by a passphrase only
you know for secure access.
• Lock the app with a PIN, Face ID, or fingerprint to prevent unauthorized access and protect your private
information.
• Share individual member profiles as files, using privacy buckets to control which fields are visible to
others, preventing accidental outings.
• Restore accidentally deleted items from the recycle bin so nothing is permanently lost, giving you
peace of mind.
A Flexible Plural System App
Customize the app to match your system's language and workflow, creating an experience that feels
truly your own.
• Choose the terminology the app uses, such as alters, headmates, members, parts, or people, to make
the app speak your language.
• Build a custom theme, let member colors follow the current fronter, or set an animated background to
personalize your space.
• Rearrange or hide tabs on the main screen to create a simplified interface that fits your specific needs
and workflow.
• Optionally sync member data with PluralKit, with per-member controls for two-way updates of names,
pronouns, avatars, and more.
• Migrate from Simply Plural with a guided import tool that lets you preview and confirm all changes,
ensuring a smooth transition.
