A diary for what you eat and what happens afterwards. NO ADS AT ALL, EVER. AD FREE.

Poops & Foods is a record keeper and diary. You log a meal — the foods in it, how it was made, where you were, a photo if you want one — and you log a poop: the type, the time, and anything you noted alongside it. After a few weeks the app starts counting, and says what it found.

WHAT YOU LOG

Meals, by food group, by dish, by restaurant, and by how they were made. Save a meal you eat often and log it again in one tap.

Where you ate — typed, or picked from names you have used before.

Poops, on the seven-type ("Bristol") scale, with urgency, straining, cramping, gas, blood and color. Or just poops.

WHAT IT SHOWS YOU

Home opens on a chart of the last week, and steps out to a month, a quarter or a year.

Timeline is every entry in order, from a single morning out to a whole month.

The Patterns feature helps you identify what foods do to you. The record describes your last twelve weeks. Trends spotted names the foods, places and kitchens whose days came out far enough apart, over enough days, that chance alone is an unlikely explanation. Standing out most ranks every subject with enough days on each side. Your rhythm is the time of day your entries land. Symptoms counts the days you noted something. Every band carries a circled i that opens a plain explanation of how that band was worked out.

EXPERIMENTS

Thinking that dairy messes you up? Track it for 2 weeks. "Skip it" counts fourteen days without a food, set against the twenty-eight days before. "Watch it" counts fourteen days and sets the days a food turned up against the days it did not.

Statistics say which subjects have enough days behind them for two weeks to be readable afterwards. It does not pick one, and it never tells you to stop eating anything. That choice is yours; the app only counts. It doesn't give advice.

PRIVACY

The diary lives on your phone, in a database only this app can open. There is no account and no sign-in.

The app reads no location at all. That is not a setting — the permission is not in the app, so there is nothing to switch off and nothing to take on trust.

Sending anonymous counts to the developer is off until you turn it on, and nothing is collected while it is off. Nothing you type ever travels: no dish names, no notes, no place names, no photographs.

Lock the app behind your fingerprint when you come back to it, or hide it from the app switcher — one switch each.

THE REST

A shelf of achievements, over a hundred of them, hand-drawn. Light and dark themes. Your week can start on any day, the clock can be 12- or 24-hour, and an evening reminder is there if you want one and silent if you don't.

WHAT IT DOES NOT DO

It does not tell you what to eat. It does not grade your day, name a trigger, or offer a diagnosis. It compares days you chose to eat on and chose to log, which supports "these go together" and nothing stronger — and every screen is written to say only that.

Poops & Foods is not a medical device and is not medical advice. If something in your record concerns you, take it to a doctor.
