Enlighten Field puts your organization’s GIS data in the hands of people working in the field. Built for utilities, municipalities, and public works teams, it lets staff view and update spatial records on site. It uses your Enlighten Enterprise login, so the same account works across desktop, web, and mobile, allowing your team to move between the office and the field without juggling separate credentials.

Crews can pull up asset maps, check feature details, and update records while the work is happening, online or offline, so a weak signal never stops the job. Edits sync live so the office and the field are working from the same data. That means no marked-up paper maps and no re-entering notes at the end of the day. Permission controls let you decide what each user sees, so your staff get the exact data they need and nothing they don’t.

WHAT YOU CAN DO

View your spatial data on an interactive map in the field: water, sewer, stormwater, electric, gas, roads, landscapes, and more.

Open any asset to see its full attribute details, then update those attributes on site as conditions change.

Capture new features and edits against your live data, so your records stay current.

Capture photos and videos while onsite or load then from your device

Move around a clean, intuitive map built for quick use in the field, where each crew member sees only the layers and data their role allows.

Keep working in areas with limited connectivity. The app is built for crews in the field, not at a desk, even when mobile data is not available.

BUILT FOR HOW YOUR TEAM WORKS

Enlighten Field is part of the Open Spatial suite of geospatial software. It is built to be straightforward enough that any team can put it to work, whether you run a full enterprise GIS or have no GIS staff at all. Cities, utilities, and infrastructure teams of all sizes use Open Spatial to manage their assets without unnecessary cost or complexity.

Use Enlighten Field alongside the broader Open Spatial Cloud platform to connect your field crews, your office, and your infrastructure records in one system that can also integrate with your existing tech stack.

Note: Enlighten Field is designed for organizational use. It requires an Enlighten Enterprise account to view and update your data. The app connects to your organization’s existing Enlighten Enterprise configuration.
