Turn your Android phone or tablet into a full GRBL/grblHAL machine controller — no separate PC required at the mill, router, or laser.

GRBLworks connects directly to your controller board over USB and covers the whole job: live coordinates, manual jogging, probing, G-code streaming with a 3D preview, and full access to every $-setting — all built around how a real GRBL machine actually reports its status.

CONNECT & MONITOR
• Wired USB (OTG) straight to the board — no laptop in the way
• Live Machine and Work coordinates, updated 5 times a second
• Idle / Run / Alarm status visible from every screen, not just one tab
• One-tap Unlock and Reset, right on the jog screen

SET THE JOB UP PROPERLY
• Z-probe off a touch plate with one button; plate thickness remembered
• Corner probing: finds a stock corner in X/Y/Z, tool diameter accounted for
• Auto-levelling: measure the surface on a grid and the toolpath bends to follow it
• All six work coordinate systems (G54-G59)
• Macros for whatever you send often
• Machine profiles: save a full settings snapshot per machine, apply later — only the values that actually changed get written, sparing the board's memory

JOG WITH CONFIDENCE
• Step sizes from 0.001 mm to 100 mm, inch or mm
• Tap a Work coordinate to type an exact position and go straight there
• Diagonal jogging moves both axes in one coordinated command, not two
• Zero any axis, or all at once; Home X, Home Y, or Home All

RUN A JOB
• 3D toolpath preview with rapids, cuts, and the executed path highlighted live
• Resume a crashed job, or tap any line to start there — units, plane, offset, feed and spindle state are replayed first, so it's never a guess
• Checks the program against actual travel limits before it starts — a mistake shows up as a warning, not a slammed limit switch
• Dry-run the outline at safe height with the spindle off, or reverse-run the file back to its start at the original feed rates
• Live feed-rate and spindle/laser power overrides
• A rejected line stops the job and says why, instead of silently skipping it
• Tool changes (M6) flagged at load; time-remaining estimate while it runs
• A scrollable G-code listing, executing line highlighted — editable in place, save under the same or a new name, into any folder

BUILT FOR ROUTERS AND LASERS ALIKE
• Laser-specific tools appear automatically when the controller reports laser mode: low-power outline trace, and a focus dot with a hard-to-miss on-screen off switch

FILES, WITHOUT A CABLE
• A wireless upload server on the device — open the address it shows from any computer on the same Wi-Fi; off by default, one tap on
• Files picked locally join that same list too — browse, load, or delete any of them, server running or not

KEEP WORKING WHILE YOU DO SOMETHING ELSE
• A job keeps streaming with the screen off, another app open, or a call coming in
• A floating overlay keeps progress visible while you switch apps
• Notified the moment a job finishes

TUNE WITHOUT MEMORIZING $-CODES
• Every setting shown with a plain-language name and real unit, edit and apply on the spot
• Direction, homing direction, steps/mm, rate, acceleration, travel — one block per axis, apply only what changed
• Confirm which axes have a limit switch — Home X/Y/All stay off until they do, so a mis-tap can't crash into the frame
• Steps/mm calculator from a measured move; squareness check from measured diagonals
• A spoilboard-facing program generator: tool diameter, stepover, and depth in, ready G-code out

DUAL-MOTOR GANTRIES (grblHAL)
• Detects genuine dual-motor axis support and exposes its real tuning: per-axis trim, direction, and squaring tolerance — with a plain explanation when your firmware wasn't built with it, instead of a control that pretends to work

Requirements: an Android device with USB OTG support, a GRBL v1.1+ or grblHAL controller, and a USB OTG cable.

No ads, no account, no telemetry — your G-code doesn't leave the device unless you choose to move it yourself.
