Pearl Safe is a self-custody crypto wallet for Pearl (PRL), Bitcoin (BTC) and Zcash (ZEC), made by Extra Watts B.V. Zcash is private by default, and you can swap between Bitcoin and Zcash through a third-party service.

Your key is created on your phone and split into three parts. A payment needs two of them: the part on this phone, behind your fingerprint or face, and the part protected by your passkey. Your key is only put together while you approve and send a payment, then wiped. There is no password to remember and no phrase you have to write down.

BITCOIN AND ZCASH
Bitcoin and Zcash are in the same wallet as Pearl, under the same recovery phrase.
Receive gives you a private Zcash address, a new one each time. A public address is there when you need one, and "Make private" moves public ZEC to your private balance. When you pay a public address, the amount and the recipient will be public. With "Use Tor" on, Zcash payments go through Tor; updating your balance does not.
While a Bitcoin payment you sent from this app is still waiting for a block, you can usually speed it up or try to cancel it. This does not apply to swaps.

SWAPS
Swaps are done by 1Click, a swap service run by NEAR Intents. Before you approve, the quote shows what you pay, about how much you get and the least you will get. It also shows the 0.8% swap fee and the network fee. Half the swap fee goes to us and half to 1Click, and the rate can include a normal market spread. If a swap cannot be done, your coins come back less a refund fee.
We never hold your coins. 1Click holds them for the few minutes a swap takes.
Swaps are public, and each one carries a tag naming Pearl Safe. Zcash from a swap arrives public; you can make it private after, but someone watching closely may still link the two by timing. Swaps are not offered in sanctioned countries or regions.

RECOVERY, SAID PLAINLY
Recovery is optional. If you set it up, the third part is sealed in a recovery vault run by our provider, Turnkey. On a new phone, your Apple or Google sign-in and your passkey bring the wallet back after a 48-hour wait. Every recovery warns you by notification and email, and one tap stops it.
You can also choose "Recover with just your sign-in". The vault then keeps a second sealed part, so your Apple or Google sign-in alone can recover the wallet after a 7-day wait with the same warnings. It is off unless you turn it on. Without it, losing this phone and your passkey together means losing the wallet.
A wallet made on an iPhone with Apple sign-in cannot yet be recovered on Android with that sign-in; its recovery phrase still works there.

YOUR RECOVERY PHRASE
Your Pearl addresses use the same layout as the Pearl desktop wallet, so the same phrase brings back your PRL there too. You can also import a standard 12- or 24-word phrase. Showing the phrase in this app needs our server, which times a 48-hour wait, so if you want your own copy, export it while the app works.

WHAT IT CHECKS
For Pearl and Bitcoin:
• The fee you see is worked out from the same data your approval signs.
• Your balance is compared across independent sources. When it cannot be double-checked, the app says so and waits before sending.

WHAT IT DOES NOT DO
No ads, and no account needed. We add no analytics; the QR scanner is Google's ML Kit, which sends Google usage diagnostics.
You cannot buy or sell crypto for money in the app. It works on the main networks, with real coins.

Independent wallet. Not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to Pearl Research Labs. "Pearl" and "PRL" refer to the public blockchain this app works with.
