Make every move intentional.

Axial is a minimalist Android launcher built around two simple directions: move sideways between categories, then move down into your apps. It is designed first for compact and square-screen phones with physical keyboards, D-pads, or trackpads, while retaining touch and mouse support.

KEYBOARD-FIRST NAVIGATION

• Move left and right between categories
• Move up and down through app lists
• Press the center key or Enter to launch
• Start typing to search for an app
• Use Back to move up one level
• Press Home to return directly to the home screen

ORGANIZE APPS YOUR WAY

• Favorites always stays within easy reach
• Common apps receive sensible starting categories
• Create, rename, reorder, and manage custom categories
• Long-press an app to view its information, add it to Favorites, or place it in a category
• Enable optional infinite category scrolling

A QUIET, CUSTOMIZABLE HOME SCREEN

• Choose a preset accent color or save your own HEX or RGB profile
• Import a wallpaper and adjust its darkness and blur
• Change the focused category size and glass treatment
• Select a corner radius that suits your device
• Show date, time, optional weather, and battery information in one restrained status row
• Respects Android’s reduced-motion setting

OPTIONAL WEATHER

Weather is off by default. If enabled, Axial uses an OpenWeather API key supplied by you. Choose a city manually or grant approximate foreground location access. Weather requests go directly to OpenWeather and do not pass through an Axial server.

OPTIONAL SCREEN TIME

The seven-day screen-time indicator is off by default. When enabled, Axial uses Android Usage Access to calculate daily screen-on time locally. App names and usage records are not uploaded.

PRIVACY BY DESIGN

Axial contains no advertising or analytics SDKs. Your app list, categories, wallpaper, preferences, and screen-time totals remain on your device. Optional weather data use is explained before activation and can be disabled at any time.

Axial is optimized for compact and square Android phones. Layout and physical-key mappings may vary between devices. Feedback from physical-keyboard users is especially welcome during the closed test.
