Some connections begin with a conversation. Others begin with a moment you almost acted on.

Rome is a social app built for real life. It helps you connect with people you cross paths with — at an event, on campus, around town, at work, while travelling, or anywhere life happens — without forcing every interaction into a box.

If you miss the chance to say hello, exchange details, or keep a conversation going, Rome gives you another way to reconnect.

CROSS PATHS IN REAL LIFE

Turn on Discovery Mode when you're open to connecting. Rome uses Bluetooth proximity rather than precise GPS location to recognise other Rome members nearby.

CONNECT AFTER THE MOMENT

See people you've crossed paths with and privately show that you're open to connecting. Your interest stays private unless the connection is mutual.

WINK IN THE MOMENT

If someone nearby catches your attention, send a short-lived Wink — a simple way to signal that you're open to connecting.

RECONNECT THROUGH EVENTS

Explore events and connect around shared places and experiences. Rome can give you another chance to find someone you met at an event after the moment has passed.

CHAT WHEN YOU BOTH WANT TO

When a connection is mutual, continue the conversation in Rome.

BUILT FOR REAL-WORLD SOCIAL CONNECTION

Rome isn't designed to replace meeting people in person or keep you endlessly scrolling through strangers. It's designed to make real-world interaction easier and give missed moments a second chance.

Use Rome to:
• reconnect with someone you briefly met
• find someone you crossed paths with
• stay in touch after an event
• make new friends
• expand your social circle
• meet people nearby
• continue a conversation you didn't get to finish

CONNECTIONS DON'T NEED A LABEL

Friendship, networking, dating, or simply a good conversation — what happens next is up to you. Rome gives you a way to connect without deciding what that connection needs to become.

PRIVACY BY DESIGN

Rome is built around proximity rather than precise location tracking. Bluetooth-based discovery helps enable nearby connections without centring the experience around GPS maps or location history.

Meet in real life. Reconnect with Rome.
