Learn to identify birds by their calls — one short lesson at a time.

SongLark teaches you to recognise birds by ear, the same way language apps teach vocabulary: bite-sized lessons, spaced repetition, and a daily streak to keep you coming back.

HOW IT WORKS
• Listen to a real bird call, then pick the bird that made it.
• Lessons introduce a few new species at a time, then mix in reviews of birds you've already learned.
• A spaced-repetition scheduler brings back birds right before you'd forget them, so knowledge sticks.
• Track your progress on a visual course map, build a daily streak, and earn XP as you go.

BUILT FOR REAL BIRDING
SongLark's courses are organised by region, not just species lists, so you learn the calls you're actually likely to hear outside your door. Australian courses are live today, covering New South Wales, Victoria, and South East Queensland, with more regions on the way.

Prefer to browse instead of quiz? Open the Birds tab any time to listen to any call in the catalogue, with no scoring and no pressure — just a reference library for reminding yourself what that bird in the backyard sounds like.

WHY CALLS, NOT JUST PICTURES
Most birds are heard long before they're seen. Learning calls turns a walk in the park into a running commentary of who's around you — even through thick bush, at night, or from a bird that never comes into view.

FREE TO LEARN
SongLark is free to download and play. New courses and species are added regularly, so your library of birds keeps growing.

Whether you're a backyard birder, a hiker, or just curious what's making that noise in the tree outside your window, SongLark turns everyday bird sounds into knowledge you can actually use.
