RotaMate is the internship assistant for medical students and their coordinators. Book shifts, swap them, track your points, see which friends are on shift, and keep your whole rotation in one place.

KEY FEATURES:

• Shift Booking — Browse open shifts across your units and book in one tap. Each booking is handled so that two people can never take the same place. Every cycle tells you how long you have to cancel before you book.

• Swaps & Transfers — Post a shift you can't make, swap with a colleague, or hand it over. Swaps keep working after booking locks, and a History view lists every swap and transfer you've made.

• One Schedule — My Shifts puts your unit shifts and personal shifts in one list. Personal shifts can repeat every week, and any clash between units, cycles or your own plans is flagged with the shift name and time.

• Unit Calendar — Each unit has a month calendar. Tap any day to see who's on shift, then copy the list to WhatsApp.

• Points Tracking — See your points by unit, for all time, one cycle or a date range. Half points are supported, and any points cap tells you the exact limit.

• Friends — Add friends by ID or QR code and see who's on shift right now, with a ring that counts down the time left on their shift. You can add anyone from their member card.

• Groups & Chat — Make groups with classmates, chat one to one, and send photos or duty guides. Double-tap a message to like it, hold it to react or reply, and swipe to reply.

• Attendance — Pick your session in one tap, fill your week quickly, and get a reminder before it starts and before it ends.

• Duty Guides & Assistant — Read your unit's published duty guides, or ask the Duty Assistant a question in your own words.

• Smart Notifications — Get alerts for shift openings, bookings, swaps and group invites. Each one names the shift and opens the exact page it's about.

• Home Screen Widget & Live Countdown — See your next shift without opening the app, with a live countdown while you're on shift.

• Calendar Sync — Your confirmed shifts are copied to your phone's calendar automatically, with a reminder. When a shift is cancelled, its calendar event is removed.

• Profile & Avatars — Choose from over 300 drawn profile pictures, show your ID card with its QR code, and sign in with your fingerprint or face.

• Light & Dark Mode — A clean design that follows your phone's theme or your own choice.

FOR COORDINATORS:

• Cycle Planning — Create cycles with slots, capacities and roles. One control sets booking to Open, Locked or Opens later, and a separate time sets when role picking opens.
• Suggested Release Times — Pick a free release time in one tap, then share an announcement on WhatsApp.
• Templates Library — Save a week as a named template, start any cycle from it, and share it with other coordinators using a code.
• Roles & Assignments — Choose who can take each role, fill every open role in one tap, and assign shifts from any member's card.
• Cancellation Rules — Decide how long interns can cancel, from not at all to right up to the shift.
• Fair Points — The points calculator counts the real shifts and handles members who should get fewer points.
• Member Management — Mark members inactive for a date range. Their status clears itself when the range ends.

BUILT FOR MEDICAL STUDENTS:
RotaMate is built around clinical rotations: night shifts, weekend duties, split units and last-minute swaps.

SECURE & RELIABLE:
All data is encrypted in transit. Bookings are handled safely, so the same place can't be booked twice and your schedule stays accurate.
