Lock Witness is a professional-grade evidence recorder for Android device owners. When someone fails to unlock your phone, Lock Witness automatically captures front-camera photo, optional video, and GPS coordinates — then stores
everything locally with SHA-256 hashes for tamper-evident integrity.

What Lock Witness does:

- Activates via Device Admin — only after your explicit approval.
- Records front-camera photo evidence on every failed unlock attempt.
- Optionally records short front-camera video clips (no audio).
- Optionally records GPS location metadata at the time of the attempt.
- Maintains a local incident timeline with full detail for each event.
- Calculates SHA-256 hashes for every captured file — verifiable forensic integrity.
- Lets you export evidence as a ZIP package by explicit user action.
- Lets you share export packages via Android's standard chooser — you choose the destination, every time.

Your device. Your evidence. Your control.

Every evidence module is independently toggleable. Camera and location use require Android runtime permissions you grant consciously. Nothing is transmitted automatically — ever.

Important: Lock Witness monitors PIN, password, and pattern failures only. Face and fingerprint unlock attempts are not captured — Android does not expose biometric failure events to third-party apps.

Lock Witness is not spyware. It is designed for the owner of the device where it is installed. Evidence is stored in app-private local storage and is not silently transmitted to anyone.
