Two tanks. One hill between them. Everything else is ballistics.

Scorched Tanks is a turn-based artillery duel in the tradition of the DOS classics. Pick an angle, pick a power, read the wind, and try to put a shell on the other tank before it does the same to you. Every near miss redraws the ground, and every crater changes the shot you had lined up.

TAKE THE SHOT
• Drag anywhere to swing the barrel and set power — no sliders eating half the screen
• The wind shifts every turn, and it is never on your side for long
• Terrain is fully destructible: blow a hole through a ridge, or pile one up to hide behind
• A live aim guide shows the arc your current settings will actually fly

TWENTY-TWO WARHEADS
• Clusters and MIRVs that split at the top of the arc and rain down
• Rollers that land short and run downhill into a dug-in enemy
• Diggers that tunnel through cover, Napalm that spreads, Dirt Clods that bury
• Air Strike: a bomber makes one pass and walks a stick of bombs through your aim point
• Nukes, up to the Mega Nuke — held back on a timer so no duel ends before it has started

DIG IN, OR DRIVE OUT
• Tanks can drive. Each one carries enough fuel for the round, and steep ground will stop you
• Raise a shield at any moment — including with a shell already in the air
• Reposition to break a range the other side has spent three turns finding

ACTIVE DEFENCE
• Site Patriot batteries and laser emplacements around your position
• Emplacements shoot incoming rounds out of the sky, and an intercepted shell does no damage
• They can miss, and a big enough warhead gets through far more often than a small one
• Each battery answers one incoming round at a time, so magazines are counted in shells, not seconds
• Send in drone swarms to soak up those magazines before the real round arrives
• Resupply trailers refill a little each turn, so saturating a battery opens a window rather than deleting it
• Not your thing? Switch the whole system off from the title screen and play it straight

PLAY IT YOUR WAY
• Take on the CPU, which walks its shots in over several turns rather than sniping you on turn one
• Or two players on one device, passing it back and forth between shots
• Every battlefield is generated fresh, and checked before you see it so neither tank is stranded behind unreachable ground
