Cadence is an AI-powered training journal for self-coached athletes. It generates periodized strength and endurance programs, adapts them from your logged workouts, and keeps every byte of your training data in plain Markdown files you own.

BRING YOUR OWN COACH
• Generate multi-week programs tailored to your goal, experience, equipment, and constraints
• Submit any logged workout for a written critique and per-day revisions you approve individually
• Message your coach anytime — rebuild a block, plan the next one, or rework a single day

LOG WITHOUT FRICTION
• Set-by-set logging with weight, reps, and reps-in-reserve — plus timed sets for planks, carries, and intervals
• "Last time" recall on every movement — see exactly what you lifted before
• Built-in rest timer and one-tap set completion
• How-to guides and video for every exercise

SEE THE WORK ADD UP
• Weekly sessions, sets, and volume on the home page
• Benchmarks with trend charts for 1RMs, race times, and bodyweight

HEALTH CONNECT SYNC (optional)
• Import cardio workouts recorded by other apps and wearables — Garmin, Strava, Samsung Health, and more — so runs, rides, swims, hikes, and rows land in your training log without manual entry
• Each imported session shows its distance and pace, average heart rate, and active calories so you can gauge the effort
• Runs at benchmark distances (mile, 5K, half marathon, marathon) automatically update your race-time benchmarks
• Weight and body-fat measurements from smart scales and health apps keep your Bodyweight and Body Fat % trend charts current
• Completed Cadence workouts are written back to Health Connect so your health history stays complete
• Entirely optional — Cadence works fully without Health Connect, and only reads the data types above

YOUR DATA IS YOURS — ACTUALLY
• Everything lives as human-readable Markdown in a folder you choose on your device
• No account, no subscription, no analytics, no backend
• Bring your own Anthropic or OpenAI API key and pay only for what you use
• Delete the app and your training history is still just… files

Cadence is built for athletes who want programmatic coaching without giving their training history to someone else's server.
