A little planning. A greener patch.

Meet SodScout, a friendly lawn sod and turf calculator that turns your measurements into a practical material plan.

MEASURE YOUR PATCH
Enter length and width for one lawn, or add up to 20 rectangular areas for a front garden, side strip, and backyard. Use metres or feet. Switching units converts the measurements already entered.

ALLOW FOR OFFCUTS
Choose a waste allowance from 0–100%, or leave it blank for no extra. See the measured lawn area, extra coverage, and total sod area to plan for.

COUNT YOUR TURF
Enter the coverage of one roll or piece from your supplier, and optionally the coverage of one pallet. SodScout rounds each quantity up to whole units. Rolls or pieces and pallets are alternative ways to order, so there is no need to add those estimates together. Leave coverage blank for an area-only estimate.

KEEP PLANNING SIMPLE
• A concise material summary
• Clear input validation and helpful empty states
• Add or remove separate lawn areas
• Reset your lawn and start fresh
• Light and dark themes, remembered on your device
• No account, advertising, or internet connection needed

PRIVATE BY NATURE
SodScout collects, stores, shares, and tracks no personal data. Calculations stay in working memory on your device. Only your theme choice is saved locally. The privacy policy is available inside the app. Its offline Contact screen is a temporary draft form: it never sends, submits, saves, or shares your message.

Break irregular lawns into non-overlapping rectangles and leave out paths or planting beds when measuring. Turf sizes vary, so confirm measurements, coverage, and ordering details with your supplier before buying.
