True dB turns your phone into a reliable, easy-to-use sound level meter. Open it and it measures right away: a large digital readout shows the sound level in dB(A), the standard weighting used by professional sound level meters.

WHAT YOU GET

- Minimum, true average (Leq) and maximum for the whole session
- A plain-language description of the level: quiet room, normal conversation, heavy traffic…
- Real-time graph of the last 60 seconds, with the 85 dB hearing-risk line
- Pause and resume without losing your measurements
- Calibration: fine-tune readings in 0.1 dB steps to match a reference sound level meter
- Uses your phone's built-in microphone with audio processing turned off (automatic gain, noise suppression), for readings that reflect the real sound
- Dark, minimal interface, in English and French

GOOD TO KNOW
Phone microphones vary from one model to another. True dB gives reliable indicative readings, and calibration against a reference meter improves accuracy further. It does not replace a certified sound level meter for official or legal measurements.
