PassageMail Weather keeps you in touch and informed in remote places, far from cell coverage. Request official NOAA weather charts, send and receive email, and set recurring requests so what you need arrives on its own. Downloaded mail and complete charts stay on your device for offline use.

Designed by ocean sailors, PassageMail is for anyone working or traveling in remote places: offshore crews, hikers and overlanders, expedition teams, field and polar researchers, and emergency personnel operating without reliable connectivity.

HOW IT WORKS
1. Prepare email and chart requests offline, whenever it suits you.
2. When you have a connection, tap Sync Now in Connect to send what's queued and receive what's waiting.
3. Watch the exact received KB / total KB as data arrives.
4. Read your mail and open complete charts in My Charts, even with no connection.

SCHEDULED REQUESTS
- Schedule recurring weather requests, such as a chart set every few hours for the length of a trip
- Messages and requests prepared offline wait in the queue until the next sync

EMAIL THAT WORKS OFF THE GRID
- Full @passagemail.com email: compose, reply and forward
- Write offline; messages wait in the queue until a sync sends them
- New incoming email arrives with its body

NOAA WEATHER PRODUCTS
Choose from more than 1,400 NOAA products across Pacific, Atlantic, Arctic and Great Lakes regions: surface analyses, wind and wave forecasts, tropical products, ice analyses, satellite imagery and text forecasts. Coverage varies by region and source.
- Ready-made presets for common routes and regions, plus NOAA radiofax station packages
- Lite presets leave out large satellite imagery for faster downloads
- Save your own presets
- Size estimates learn from your actual deliveries
- Tropical storm advisories targeted to your position; follow a storm to keep receiving its advisories

BUILT FOR SLOW, INTERMITTENT LINKS
- Compressed sync carries only your queued requests and the content you asked for
- Interrupted downloads can resume from the saved byte position when the server's packet is still valid; otherwise a fresh transfer may be needed
- Received packets are checked for size and integrity before they're used
- Charts appear in My Charts only when complete and viewable
- Large maintenance downloads, such as full catalog updates, wait for regular internet
- Certificate-validated HTTPS to the PassageMail relay on every connection
