Uncle English — write IELTS essays, then keep everything you learn.

Most writing tools grade one essay and forget it. Uncle English treats your own writing as the material: every draft, every sentence you save and every mistake you repeat goes into a library that comes back when you need it.

Build a knowledge base out of your own writing
While you draft, pull words, sentences and sentence patterns straight out of your text and into your personal library, with footnotes for the sources you draw on. Add entries by hand, import, export, back up. The library is yours: it lives on your device and grows with your writing rather than with somebody else's word list.

Find it again by meaning
Everything in the library is indexed twice — a full-text index for exact wording, and embeddings for meaning. So you can hunt for a collocation you half-remember, or describe an idea and get back sentences saying the same thing in other words. Search one collection or search everything at once, and pull the right pattern into the essay you are drafting.

Write inside a structure, not on a blank page
The editor is phased. First you lay out an outline: name your own sections — Proponents, Critics, Example, Your Opinion — and write the points under each. Then that outline becomes a tree you write inside: outline section, point, paragraph, sub-section, sentence. Every sentence keeps a stable identity and remembers which outline point it came from, so reviews, mistake rows and practice stay attached to the idea they belong to. Write paragraph-by-paragraph or section-by-section; both work.

Your own error library
Reviews group mistakes by type instead of dumping corrections on you. Each error type is a permanent entry in your library: how often you repeat it, how it moves over the weeks, and the exact sentences that prove it — jump from a type straight to the evidence. Your past mistakes are part of the context the review reads, so the feedback targets what you genuinely keep getting wrong rather than a generic checklist.

Practice made from your own data
Your mistakes become exercises: fill-in-the-blank drills, spelling practice and question sets generated from your own essays, plus line-by-line comparison against model answers. While you write, pattern suggestions are pulled from your own library.

Every comment anchored to its sentence
Run a full review and get feedback on task response, coherence, vocabulary and grammar. Every comment is anchored to the sentence it refers to, so you always know exactly what to change. Reviews are saved, so you can compare drafts and watch a weak paragraph become a strong one.

Track real progress
Learning-trend charts and monthly reports show whether the errors you fixed actually stayed fixed.

Why it exists
Uncle English is made by a long-time English learner who uses it every day. It grew out of one habit: stop throwing away what you write, stop learning the same mistakes twice. Every feature here is one the developer needed himself; this is the workflow he writes with.

How credits work
The editor, your library, import-export and backup do not consume credits. AI features — whole-essay review, question generation, dictionary lookup, typo checking, semantic search and more — consume credits, bought in-app as a one-time purchase. There is no subscription and nothing auto-renews.

Your data
No advertising, no ad SDKs, no third-party trackers. Your library lives on your device; only the text you choose to send for an AI review leaves your phone.
