Press PLAY and hear your music the way it used to feel.

Awesome Tape turns your phone into a hi-fi cassette deck. It has brushed-metal keys, a glowing display, level meters that move with the music, and tape reels that wind as each song plays. It looks and sounds like a deck from the golden age of tape.

📼 Your library, on cassette
The first time you open it, Awesome Tape can turn the music on your phone into a shelf of tapes: one for your whole library and one for each album, each with its own look. Pick a tape from the rack and watch it slide into the deck.

✍️ Make your own mixtapes
Hear a song you love? Tap + to record it onto a new tape or one you already have. Give each tape a name, a shell (Smoke, Jet Black, Arctic White, Chrome Red, Ocean Blue or Sunset Orange) and a label color. The first songs on each side are handwritten on the sticker, the way you used to do it.

🔄 Side A, Side B
Mixtapes are split into two sides. Swipe to turn the tape over, and Auto Reverse keeps the music going from one side to the next.

📻 Internet radio, built in
Turn the source switch to RADIO and play thousands of stations from around the world. The display shows what's on the air right now, and the Radio Chart tape holds the most popular stations in your country. Like a station? Record it onto a tape next to your songs.

🗂️ The J-card
Open any tape's insert to see every song on both sides, with the song that's playing starred. Tap a song to play from there, find one by typing, or cross songs out of your own mixes.

🔍 Quick Search
Find any song, album or station in a moment, from anywhere in the app.

🎛️ A deck that feels real
Keys click, the cassette door opens and closes, the tape flips over, and you can hold fast-forward or rewind to wind through a song. Everything sounds and feels like the real thing.

🚗 Your tapes in the car, with Android Auto
Plug in and your rack is on the car's screen: your mixtapes, your albums and the radio, each tape shown with its own cassette art. Choose a tape and it picks up on the side and song where you left it. Search for a song or station by name, or tap a suggestion to start right away. Hear something you want to keep? Tap ♥ and Awesome Tape will remind you to record it onto a tape once you're back on your phone.

🎧 Plays everywhere you are
Music keeps playing in the background, with controls in the notification, on the lock screen and on Bluetooth headphones. Each source picks up where you left off, on the same tape and the same song.

No account and no sign-up. Just your music, a stack of tapes, and that warm cassette feeling.

Awesome Tape: rewind to the good stuff. 🎶
