No more reminding each other.

ChorePlay is the shared list for your household: for couples and everyone you share a home with. Add a chore, give it to someone or put it up for grabs, and ChorePlay does the reminding. Nobody has to chase anybody.

CHORES FIRST. SCROLL LATER.
If you like, your own chores can pause apps you pick, like social media or videos, until they're done. You choose which apps, and you decide whose chores may pause them. Done, and your apps are free again.

HOW IT WORKS
• Add chores in seconds: a title, an emoji, when it's due, and who does it.
• “I’m on it 👍” tells the others you’ve seen it. No more “did you see my message?”
• Reminders come from ChorePlay, not from your partner.
• Not now? Snooze it for 15 minutes or an hour.
• Can’t make it? Propose a new deadline. Whoever gave you the chore agrees with one tap.
• Up for grabs: chores anyone can take with “I’ll do it 🙋”.
• Repeating chores: every day, on weekdays, every other week, or your own rule. Take turns, or do it together.
• Together: one chore for two or more people, and one Done counts for everyone.
• Checklists in a chore: packing for a holiday or writing thank-you notes, ticked off item by item, together.
• Private chores: switch on “Private” and only you can see the chore. Nobody else in the household does.
• Skip this time when a repeating chore isn’t needed, instead of pretending it’s done.
• A photo when it’s done, if the chore asks for one.

YOU’RE IN CONTROL
• Pausing apps is optional. ChorePlay works as a shared to-do list without it.
• You pick the apps, on your own phone. Nobody else sees which ones.
• You decide, person by person, whose chores may pause your apps: automatically, or only after you tap “I’m on it”.
• “Free my apps” is always there for emergencies, and you can switch pausing off any time.

ABOUT THE PERMISSIONS FOR PAUSING
To pause the apps you choose, ChorePlay needs two switches in Android’s settings, and a short setup walks you through them: one lets ChorePlay see which app is open (“Usage access”), the other lets it show its pause screen over an app (“Display over other apps”). ChorePlay uses them for one thing: to show the pause screen when one of your chosen apps opens while your chore is due. While a pause could start soon, a small notification shows that ChorePlay is ready. ChorePlay never reads what’s in your apps (no texts, messages or passwords), never taps anything for you, and nothing about your apps or what you use leaves your phone, not even to your household. Settings, the home screen and the phone app are never paused, and you can switch pausing off any time.

PRIVACY
No ads, no tracking, no selling of data. Your household sees your chores, not your apps. You can delete your account in the app at any time.

ChorePlay is free for your own chores, pausing your own apps included. Sharing a household with others needs ChorePlay Plus: one subscription covers everyone in it. Sign in with your Google account and create a household, or join one with an invite code.
