Just talk. Your journal writes itself.

Most people want to journal. Far fewer actually do it. Not because they don't have anything to say, but because sitting down to write is one more thing to find time for at the end of an already full day.

Just Journal removes that friction entirely. Press record, talk for a few minutes about whatever is on your mind, and press stop. Within moments, your words come back to you as a clean, written journal entry — in your own voice, in your own words, delivered to your inbox and saved to your private journal.

No typing. No blank page. No structure to follow. And it's completely free.

FREE, WITH NO LIMITS ON JOURNALING

Record as many entries as you like, every day, for as long as you want. No card required to sign up, no trial that runs out, no catch. Just Journal's core experience — talking, transcribing, and keeping your journal — costs nothing, forever.

HOW IT WORKS

Open the app and press record. Talk about your day, what's been sitting with you, something that happened, something you're working through — whatever comes up. Speak for two minutes or twenty. There are no prompts to answer and no format to fill in.

When you're done, press stop. Your recording is turned into a properly written journal entry, cleaned of the ums and false starts, but keeping how you actually think and speak. It reads like something you sat down and wrote yourself.

WHY VOICE WORKS DIFFERENTLY

By the time most people write something down, they've already edited the truth out of it. Speaking captures thoughts in their real form — before they're polished, before they're filtered, before they disappear. You say things out loud that you'd never commit to paper, and often you find what you actually think somewhere in the middle of saying it.

ASK YOUR JOURNAL ANYTHING

Search across everything you've ever written, in plain English. Ask how you've been feeling about work lately, when you last felt truly energised, or what's been on your mind the most this month — and get an answer drawn entirely from your own entries.

Every account gets 3 free Insights searches a month, so you can genuinely try it and see what it finds. Upgrade to Premium for unlimited Insights searches, any time.

PRIVATE BY DEFAULT

Some thoughts need a space that feels completely yours. Your voice is never recorded or stored — audio is processed to create your entry and then immediately deleted. Your entries are encrypted before they're stored. Even we can't read them. Nothing is ever sold, shared, or used to train AI models. Your journal is yours alone.

WHO IT'S FOR

Just Journal is built for people whose minds don't fully switch off — who overthink conversations long after they happen, who process things by talking them through, who leave themselves voice notes they never listen back to, and who've tried keeping a written journal more than once and never quite kept it going.

If reflection has always felt like homework, this is journaling that meets you where you already are. Start right now, for free, with nothing to sign up for beyond an email address.
