Shiberu turns the shows you watch into flashcards, and puts a full spaced-repetition reviewer on your phone.

MINE FROM WHAT YOU WATCH
With the free Shiberu browser extension for Chrome and Firefox on your computer, click any subtitle word on YouTube, Netflix, Crunchyroll, Viki, Bilibili or any HTML5 video, or load your own .srt, .ass or .vtt file. Shiberu fills in the reading, meaning, sentence and audio. Save the card and it is waiting in this app for your next review.

A FULL FLASHCARD REVIEWER
• FSRS-6, the modern spaced-repetition scheduler
• Deck option presets, :: subdecks, a card browser and custom study
• Timers, auto-advance and Again / Hard / Good / Easy
• Your own note types and card templates, with images and audio

STUDY OFFLINE
Download a deck once and review it without a connection, on the subway or on a plane. Your progress syncs when you are back online.

BRING YOUR DECKS
• Import .apkg decks with their full review history. Shiberu replays every review through FSRS, so your cards stay on schedule instead of starting over.
• Export any deck back to .apkg at any time. No lock-in.
• Study on your computer too: link decks with the free Shiberu Sync add-on for desktop Anki (25.07 or later) and they stay in step both ways: reviews, due dates, deck option presets, note edits and media.

SHARE DECKS
Share a deck with your friends or publish it for every learner, subdecks included. Whoever adds it gets the whole subdeck tree with every card.

LANGUAGES
Japanese, Korean and Chinese get full readings and dictionaries. Any other language gets AI explanations of words in context.

READ, NOT JUST REVIEW
The Reader opens texts you paste or import: EPUB, PDF, Word, HTML, Markdown, plain text and subtitle files. Or start with its built-in graded stories in Japanese, Korean and Chinese. Tap a word to look it up and turn it into a card.

STAY ON TRACK
• A day-streak widget for your home screen: your Shiba grows stronger every day you study, and freezes if you stop
• Study reminders, streaks and a vocabulary garden that grows as you learn
• Forest, Light and Dark themes
• Interface in English, 한국어, 日本語, Español, 简体中文 and 繁體中文
