Tauret turns your Android phone into a Bluetooth gamepad and keyboard for your Windows PC. Hold the phone upright and play with one thumb. No software, drivers or server are needed on the PC.

It was designed for playing the Windows version of FINAL FANTASY XI with a single thumb, and it also works with other PC games and apps that support DirectInput gamepads.

■ One-thumb controls
• The lower half of the screen is the controller. The left stick, right stick, D-pad and △○×□ each have their own area, and wherever your thumb lands becomes the center (floating controls).
• D-pad and face buttons: flick for a single press, hold to keep pressing.
• L1 / R1 / L3 / R3 sit in the four corners. Their hit areas extend along the screen edges, so you can press them without looking.
• Combination button: tap a button such as R1, and it is pressed together with your next input.

■ In-game macros and tools
• Calls the macros you set up inside the game. Slide your thumb in from the top edge and pick 1–0 to send Ctrl+1–0 or Alt+1–0. Ctrl / Alt is held while the menu is open, so you can check the game's macro palette before choosing. (Tauret does not record or replay key sequences.)
• Keyboard: a built-in keyboard that sends each key straight to the PC. Use the PC's IME for Japanese input. In-game Tab completion works as usual.
• Camera: Page Up / Page Down / Home.
• SELECT / START / TOUCHPAD buttons.

■ Comfortable to use
• Haptic feedback when your thumb enters or leaves a button, macro number or menu item.
• A black screen that lights up only where you touch, easy on OLED batteries.
• Color themes, sizes, timings and left / right alignment are adjustable.
• Connects only while the app is on screen, and reconnects to your last PC automatically.

■ Requirements
• Android 9 or later with support for the Bluetooth HID Device profile (some devices do not support it).
• A Windows 10 / 11 PC with Bluetooth.
• Tauret is recognized as a DirectInput gamepad, not XInput. For FINAL FANTASY XI, turn off "Enable XInput" and turn on "Enable Point of View" in FINAL FANTASY XI GAMEPAD Config.

■ Privacy
Tauret has no internet permission and collects no data. It sends your inputs only to your paired PC over Bluetooth. A diagnostic log is shared only when you choose to share it.
