Beam Calc: beam, frame and truss solver in your pocket.

Model a beam, a 2D frame or a truss in seconds and get shear force, bending moment, slope and deflection diagrams and member forces instantly. Built for civil and structural engineering students (statics, mechanics of materials, structural analysis), teachers and engineers who want reliable answers without a desktop program.

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
BEAM CALC
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
• Pin, roller and fixed supports, anywhere on the beam
• Internal hinges (moment releases)
• Point loads, UDLs, triangular and trapezoidal loads, concentrated moments
• Variable sections: give any part of the beam its own E and I
• Support settlement and fixed-support rotation, for settlement studies
• Shear force, bending moment, slope and deflection diagrams
• Determinate beams solved by statics; indeterminate beams by the direct stiffness method, fast even for long continuous beams
• Shows whether the beam is determinate, its degree of indeterminacy, and catches unstable layouts, such as a hinge with nothing holding the span beyond it

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
FRAME CALC
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
• Build 2D rigid-jointed frames on a grid with custom bay and storey spacings
• Add members, supports and loads by tapping points on the drawing
• Pin, ground roller, wall roller and fixed supports
• Joint loads (Fx, Fy, moment) and member point, uniform and triangular loads
• Clear load convention: positive acts downward on beams and inward on columns; enter a negative value to reverse
• Sloped members such as rafters: apply loads perpendicular to the member or vertically (gravity)
• Shear, moment, slope and deflection diagrams for every member, plus all support reactions
• Mechanisms are reported as errors instead of meaningless numbers

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
TRUSS CALC
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
• Pin-jointed plane trusses on the same grid, with tap-to-add members, supports and joint loads
• Enter A and E separately, or AE in one value
• Member axial forces marked tension or compression, colour-coded on the drawing, plus reactions
• Determinacy check (m + r vs 2j), and unstable trusses are reported instead of solved

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
INFLUENCE LINES
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
• Influence lines for support reactions, and for shear and moment at any section
• Shear just left or right of the section, with the jump shown clearly
• Works for determinate and indeterminate beams, with exact values at the section

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
READ YOUR RESULTS
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
• Touch any diagram to read the exact value at that point, or type a position
• Zoom and pan the beam and frame drawings; double-tap to reset
• Clean, readable numbers in Metric (kN, m) or FPS (kip, ft) units

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
WORK FASTER
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
• Undo and redo every change
• Save beams, frames and trusses and reload them any time
• Export a model as text to share with classmates or back it up, and import it again in one tap
• Modern Material You design that follows your phone's colours

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
WHO IT'S FOR
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
• Students checking homework and learning how structures behave
• Teachers preparing examples and verifying solutions
• Engineers doing quick checks and preliminary design on site or in a meeting

Beam Calc follows textbook conventions, with sagging moment positive, so your diagrams look the way they do in class.

Note: Beam Calc is intended for education and preliminary design. Always verify results against the applicable codes, standards and professional judgement before using them for final design.
