WordsDown by The Grammar Goat 🐐

Words are falling. Get them down before they get ideas.

WordsDown is a fast, satisfying word game where falling letters become words, combos, close calls, and occasionally something you swear is in the dictionary.

Spell words of four letters or more to clear them. Longer words score bigger. Chain them fast enough and the board catches fire — that’s FRENZY. Everything scores double while it burns, including your questionable decisions.

SIMPLE TO LEARN. RUDELY HARD TO PUT DOWN.

Letters fall.
You make words.
Words disappear.
You feel clever.
The game notices.
Things get faster.

FOUR WAYS TO PLAY

CLASSIC — Endless. Chill, Fast, or Faster. Faster is less of a speed and more of a threat.

DAILY — One board. Same for everyone. Once a day. Miss it and your streak will be taking this personally.

WORD TRIP — 1,500 handcrafted levels, each with its own rules. A boss waits at the end of every chapter. Three stars if you’re brilliant. One if you technically survived.

RELAX — No game over. No pressure. The letters have nowhere else to be.

YOUR BAG OF TRICKS

When the board fights dirty, fight significantly dirtier.

PAUSEICLE! freezes everything solid.
THREEDOM! makes three-letter words legal. Finally, CAT gets its moment.
SPELLOOSHI! finds a word for you. You absolutely found it yourself.
UFOh! calls in a squadron because apparently spelling needed air support.

Then there are wildcards, bombs, lasers, a firewall, and Letter Storm — for those rare moments when what your word game really needs is more letters.

42 THEMES

Not wallpapers. Actual themes. Tiles, sounds, colors, the whole thing.

There are 42 of them, which is roughly 37 more than you needed and exactly as many as we wanted.

Fair warning: choosing one may take longer than your next game.

CHASE YOUR BEST

Beat your high score. Climb the Google Play Games leaderboards. Collect achievements. Protect your streak. Develop an unreasonable emotional attachment to the letter S.

And see how long you can keep the board under control.

Whether you play word games every day or just enjoy discovering suspiciously impressive vocabulary under pressure, WordsDown is always one letter away from disaster.

Get your words down.
