Accountability over accuracy.

You've quit a calorie app before. Weigh the food, scan the barcode, find your exact bagel in the database. Two weeks of that and the logging stops. Then the cookie at a coworker's desk doesn't count. The chips while you cook don't count. None of it gets written down, so none of it feels real.

You shouldn't need a lab to be honest about lunch.

Calorie Confessional is a confession booth for your calories. Hold the button, say what you ate, and today's number goes up. That's the whole app. The count is rough. A rough count you keep beats a perfect count you quit.

HOW IT WORKS

1. Hold the button.
2. Say what you ate.
3. See today's number.

Talk like you'd talk to a person. Several foods at once, brand names, guesses. If you know the calories, just say them. Typing works too.

WHAT YOU GET

- The booth. A small window that floats over your other apps, a little in your way on purpose. Tap it, whisper, get back to your day.
- Calls to confession. A nudge around midday and one in the evening. You decide how often the booth gets to bother you.
- Saved confessions. Build the breakfast you eat every day once, then confess it with one tap.
- A nutrition label scanner, for when the box already knows.
- A home screen widget that keeps today's number where you can't ignore it.
- Quiet weight tracking, for the days you step on the scale.

WHAT YOU DON'T

No account. No ads. No analytics SDKs. No food database to search, no barcodes, no weighing.

WHAT LEAVES YOUR PHONE

The words. Speech becomes text on your phone, and the text goes to an AI service for the estimate. A label photo goes too if you scan one, and rarely a short voice clip when your phone can't transcribe you. The food log itself stays on your phone. The mic only listens while you hold the button. Uninstall and it's all gone. Nothing about you sits on a server waiting to be deleted.

Keep confessing and you'll still have a food log in week three. Skip it and it's the old story. Another perfect app deleted by week two, and officially the chips never happened.

If you keep quitting calorie trackers, Calorie Confessional is the right move. Make your first confession tonight.
