The physical notebook is the core. The app is the second layer.
QOLV — The Business Notebook is an overengineered operating toolkit built for real business conditions.
The physical A5 notebook combines uncommon business frameworks, decision checklists, assessments, templates, structured blank space, and working pages into one system designed around the pressure points that determine whether a venture holds, adapts, or collapses.
The QOLV app extends that system beyond the printed page.
Every major subject inside the notebook carries its own XN reference code and QR access point. Scan the code or enter the XN reference manually to open the corresponding expanded material inside the app.
A printed page can remain concise. The digital layer does not have to.
Explore deeper explanations, additional context, frameworks, examples, updates, and supporting material without turning the physical notebook into a thousand-page manual.
THE NOTEBOOK HAS A SECOND LAYER
Scan a QOLV QR code from the physical notebook and move directly to its expanded entry.
No hunting through menus.
No trying to remember where something was.
You can also enter an XN#### reference code manually and jump directly to the same material.
The XN system acts as the address system connecting the physical notebook to its digital counterpart.
BUILT AROUND REAL BUSINESS PRESSURE
QOLV does not attempt to teach the entire entrepreneurship curriculum.
It concentrates on the areas where judgment matters most.
Subjects across the QOLV system include:
• product viability and validation
• business models
• branding and positioning
• customers and competition
• marketing execution
• contracts and negotiation
• cash flow and financial pressure
• borrowing and debt
• investors and valuation
• business expansion
• team fragility
• co-founder risk
• decision making
• failure analysis
• scams and deception
• strategic warning signs
• burnout and founder psychology
• resilience and recovery
• survival under hostile conditions
The objective is not to tell you that everything will work.
It is to help you think more clearly about what happens when it does not.
SAVE WHAT MATTERS
Bookmark important QOLV subjects and return to them later.
Your viewing history keeps previously opened material close when you need to recover an idea, framework, warning, or reference.
Global search helps you move through the QOLV system without remembering exactly where something lives.
YOUR OWN DIGITAL NOTEBOOK
QOLV includes a built-in notes workspace for capturing:
• observations
• quotes
• decisions
• ideas
• working notes
• lessons
• reminders
• references
Keep your own thinking close to the material that triggered it instead of constantly moving between unrelated apps.
QOLV includes an integrated whiteboard powered by Excalidraw.
The app also includes access to QOLV's contingency-oriented tools, including the Dead Man Switch, designed around the same principle that runs throughout the notebook
QOLV.NET
The app also provides an entry point to QOLV.NET, the broader QOLV business network being developed for people who are building, operating, testing, surviving, and creating real things.
PHYSICAL + DIGITAL
QOLV is deliberately not a digital replacement for the notebook.
The two parts serve different purposes.
The physical A5 notebook gives you the working structure, printed frameworks, templates, assessments, reference points, and space to think by hand.
The QOLV app expands the material, connects XN references, stores personal notes, provides search and history, adds visual working space, and keeps the system capable of evolving after the notebook has already been printed.
The physical object stays stable.
The digital layer can continue to grow.
ONE SYSTEM
Read something.
Scan it.
Go deeper.
Save it.
Question it.
Sketch it.
Return to it.
Use it.
