That phishing link your brother just forwarded you in a text? He didn't know it was a scam. You didn't either, until you tap and it's too late.

That's the whole problem with modern phishing: the good ones look exactly like the real thing. Your bank's "urgent verification" email. The QR code on the parking meter. The screenshot of "Discord support" pasted in the group chat. People lose real money to a single bad tap, every day.

GatekeeperAI sits between the link and your thumb. It watches your screen, figures out which links are scams, and shows you a warning before you tap. The brother who forwarded it didn't know it was bad. We do.

It works where phishing shows up: browsers, email, messaging, camera, clipboard, photo library. (note: some app content can't be read) If a link is a phishing site, wallet drainer, or typosquat, you get a warning.

FOUR LAYERS OF PROTECTION
1) Browse Safe. GatekeeperAI silently checks the links on your screen and intercepts the bad ones before the browser opens. Covers Chrome, Firefox, Brave, Edge, Samsung Internet, DuckDuckGo, Gmail, Outlook, and major messaging apps. Toggle per app in Customize Protection.

2) Quick Check. Sketchy link, screenshot, or forwarded message? Long-press, hit Share, pick GatekeeperAI. Two taps. Works on plain text, screenshots, QR images, forwarded emails. If you can share it, you can scan it.

3) QR & Image Scanning. QR-code phishing ("quishing") rose 587% in 2024 (KnowBe4). Most apps skip QR codes. We scan them via in-app camera, photo library, and on-screen detector. Same pipeline reads text inside any image you share, so a screenshot of a fake "account locked" page is caught like a typed URL.

4) Clipboard & Forward Guard. Copy a link from anywhere, paste it anywhere, we check it. Forwarding a sketchy email from Gmail? We check it on the way out, so you don't pass a scam to family.

When a link is bad, you see a full-screen overlay with "Go back to safety" or "Continue anyway." Push notifications are sent if you've enabled them.

WHAT WE CATCH
- Phishing sites impersonating banks, PayPal, Amazon, Discord, and others
- Crypto wallet drainers and fake airdrop scams
- QR redirects to malicious sites (quishing) and Discord QR login hijacking (QRLJacking)
- Image-based phishing: screenshots with fake login pages or "expiring password" graphics
- Forwarded scams that ride through group chats and family threads
- Clipboard-pasted URLs from anywhere
- URL shorteners hiding dangerous destinations
- Typosquats and homoglyph tricks (g00gle.com, paypa1.com)

WHY NOT JUST USE A FREE ANTIVIRUS APP
Free antivirus (Play Protect, free Avast, free Bitdefender) mostly scans apps at install or files at download. They don't watch a link in your texts, a QR on a sticker, or a group-chat screenshot the way we do. Phishing happens at tap time, and scams get smarter every week. We do phishing, backed by AI that adapts as fast as the threat and sharpens as new scams surface. Works alongside whatever AV you have.

WHY NOT JUST RELY ON YOUR BROWSER
Browser safety only watches the browser. A link in a group chat doesn't reach the browser until you tap, which is too late. Same with QR codes, notification links, forwarded screenshots. We watch the screen, not just the browser.

PRIVACY
Real-time protection runs on Android's Accessibility Service to read the links on your screen, only after your explicit in-app consent. Turn it off anytime in Accessibility Settings. URL substrings only: whatever the source (screen, clipboard, shared image, forwarded message, QR camera), text recognition runs on-device to pull the URL out, then only the URL is sent to our scan API. Message bodies, email content, page text, image pixels, and passwords never leave your phone. No data sold, no ads. Full disclosure: gatekeeperai.app/privacy section 14.
