Most reminder apps post a notification. You swipe it away half-awake, and by the evening you cannot remember whether you did the thing or only dismissed the alert.

Nimits is built so that cannot happen. When a reminder is due it takes over the whole screen, and comes back every five minutes until you make an actual decision.

A FULL-SCREEN ALARM THAT KEEPS RINGING

A Nimits reminder does not expire quietly. It rings as a full-screen takeover, the way an alarm clock does, and returns on a fixed interval until you tap Complete or Skip.

YOU PICK HOW HARD EACH ONE INSISTS

Each reminder gets one of three alarm types. Persistent rings every five minutes until you answer. Once posts a single notification and stops. Gentle nudges twice, then marks itself missed. Each type has its own sound and vibration, so the one you cannot miss never sounds like the one you can.

There is no quiet window: a reminder set for 23:15 rings at 23:15. Want one gentler at night? Set it to Gentle. Categories are optional labels for filing and change nothing about how a reminder rings.

WHAT NEEDS YOU COMES FIRST

Home opens on anything missed or overdue, in red at the top, with Done and Skip right beside it. The rest of the day waits below in clock order, with your week underneath, misses shown rather than hidden. Prefer one thing at a time? Switch Home to Focus.

History shows the month at a glance. Tap any day to see what was done, skipped or missed.

ANSWER IT FROM THE HOME SCREEN

Widgets let you act without opening the app. Needs you shows one reminder per page with Done and Skip, and takes two taps, so a stray touch cannot record anything. Today lists the day, Week shows the last six days, and Routine follows one task's steps.

REPEATS DAILY, WEEKLY, OR ON THE DAYS YOU PICK

Set a reminder for a single date, or repeat it daily, on weekdays, weekly, or on the days you choose. A repeat can stop after a set number of days.

SNOOZE IS CAPPED ON PURPOSE

You get a limited number of snoozes, and the screen tells you which one you are on. An uncapped snooze button is just a slower dismiss.

SKIP IS A REAL ANSWER, NOT A FAILURE

Skip sits right next to Complete, and a skipped item is left out of your figures rather than counted against you. A tracker you have to lie to is not worth reading.

TASK LISTS WITH SUB-TASKS

Some routines are one task with several steps: put the washing on, move it across forty minutes later, hang it out. Build one task with sub-tasks, each at its own time, and complete them together or one at a time.

AN OFFLINE REMINDER APP. NO ACCOUNT, NO SIGN-IN

There is no sign-up, no login and no profile. Your reminders, times and history stay on your phone, and every alarm is scheduled through Android itself, so a reminder rings in aeroplane mode or on a train with no signal.

USE IT FOR

Bills and rent, bins on the right night, chores and cleaning, feeding a pet, watering plants, school runs and the kids' routine, stretching and exercise, drinking water, calling someone back, appointments, daily habits, or anything else you keep meaning to do and keep not doing.

WHAT NIMITS DOES NOT DO

No ads. It does not sell or share your reminders, because it never receives them.

It also cannot know whether you actually did the thing. It knows you pressed Complete. Nimits reminds you of a schedule you entered yourself, and nothing more than that.

PERMISSIONS, AND WHY

Alarms and reminders: to ring at the minute you set, not whenever the system batches it.

Full-screen notifications: to show the takeover over the lock screen.

Notifications: to post the reminder at all.

Unrestricted battery use: so power saving cannot silently drop an alarm.

Internet: only for crash reports and diagnostics. Reminders never need it.

To fix faults, Nimits sends crash reports, performance diagnostics and basic app-usage statistics, tied to a random ID, not to you, and never the name, time or content of any reminder.
