Learn a language by watching what you already watch. Linglass puts dual subtitles on YouTube — the language you are learning and your own, on screen at the same time — and turns any video into a lesson you actually finish.

Tap any word in the subtitles to see what it means in that sentence, hear it pronounced by a native voice, and save it with one tap. Every saved word comes back as a flashcard at the moment you were about to forget it.

DUAL SUBTITLES ON YOUTUBE
Watch any YouTube video with bilingual subtitles: your target language on one line, your native language on the other. No copying links between apps, no pausing to look things up somewhere else.

AI SUBTITLES WHEN A VIDEO HAS NONE
Plenty of great videos ship with no captions at all. Linglass transcribes them with AI speech recognition and translates the result, so dual subtitles work on videos other subtitle apps simply skip.

TAP TO TRANSLATE, IN CONTEXT
Translations are contextual, not dictionary dumps: you get the meaning that fits the sentence, with phonetic transcription and native-voice audio. Built for understanding a line, not for looking up a word in isolation.

AI GRAMMAR EXPLANATIONS
Select a sentence and get a clear, structured breakdown of its grammar. Each construction is labelled with its level — CEFR, JLPT, HSK or TOPIK — and explained in your own language.

FLASHCARDS WITH SPACED REPETITION
Saved words are reviewed with the real context they came from: the sentence and the frame of the video. The FSRS scheduling algorithm shows each card right before you would forget it, so reviews stay short and vocabulary actually sticks.

A CATALOG OF VIDEOS AT YOUR LEVEL
Do not know what to watch? Discover has thousands of real YouTube videos scored by difficulty and sorted into beginner, intermediate and advanced shelves, so a beginner gets something watchable instead of a wall of native-speed speech.

TRACK YOUR PROGRESS
Streaks, a review heatmap and honest statistics show what you have learned and keep you coming back.

LEARN WITH THE CONTENT YOU LIKE
Anime and K-dramas, podcasts and interviews, news, talks, gaming, cooking, science. If it is on YouTube and it has speech, it can be a lesson. Learning English with YouTube, learning Japanese with anime and learning Korean with K-drama all work the same way here.

LANGUAGES YOU CAN LEARN
English, Spanish, French, German, Italian, Portuguese, Russian, Japanese, Korean and Chinese. The app interface is available in 20 languages.
