ScrollBreak is a screen time control and app blocker to stop doomscrolling with 1-minute mindful puzzles.

If you open Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Reels, Shorts or WhatsApp too often, ScrollBreak tracks time in apps you choose and shows a quick jigsaw or coloring focus break when your app limit is reached. Solve it to continue, refreshed. Built to reduce screen time and limit social media without a permanent lock.

How does ScrollBreak control screen time?
1. You select distracting apps to block and monitor.
2. You set an app limit: every 1, 2, 5, 10, 15 or 20 minutes.
3. ScrollBreak detects app opens on-device.
4. When time is up, it pauses the app and shows a 1-minute puzzle or coloring break to interrupt scrolling.
5. You solve the challenge to continue. Dashboard shows usage-free time and stay focused progress.

What happens when time is up?
A jigsaw puzzle or coloring screen appears. This is mindful friction, not a permanent app blocker lock. Solving the challenge always continues. No root, no VPN required. Small pauses break the dopamine loop behind phone addiction and doom scrolling.

What are the mindful challenges?
• Jigsaw Puzzle: 2x2 puzzle with 100+ pictures. Solvable in under 1 minute.
• Coloring Break: 50 calm templates with undo, redo and custom colors for anxiety relief and better sleep.
• Smart random mode avoids repeats.
• All challenges work offline. No accounts, no ads.

Is ScrollBreak private and good for digital wellbeing?
Yes. ScrollBreak works 100% on-device for digital wellbeing.
• No cloud sync, no trackers, no analytics SDKs.
• Usage time is calculated locally with Android UsageStats.
• Settings stay in device storage only. Delete anytime in Android Settings or by uninstalling.

App Usage Access: To show total time in distracting apps.
Display Over Other Apps: To show the challenge screen.
Installed Apps List: To let you choose apps to monitor.
