Open iLende at the trailhead and get the lay of the land: contour lines, huts, marked routes and forest roads. iLende covers Norway, Sweden, Finland, Iceland, Switzerland, Austria and Germany with a detailed topographic map on your Android phone, foldable or tablet for hiking, skiing and cycling. The map is free in all seven countries, and you do not need an account.

One map across seven countries

• Walk from Norway into Sweden or Finland, or from Switzerland into Austria and Bavaria, without switching maps
• Colors, trails and hut symbols stay consistent across borders
• Marked trails stay easy to pick out at every zoom level

Read the terrain for free

• Topographic maps and data from Kartverket, Lantmäteriet, the National Land Survey of Finland, Náttúrufræðistofnun Íslands, swisstopo, BEV in Austria and the Bavarian Surveying Administration (Bayerische Vermessungsverwaltung), alongside OpenStreetMap
• Trails, marked routes, huts and shelters across Norway, Sweden, Finland, Iceland, Switzerland, Austria and Germany. Tap a hut to see its type, elevation and who runs it
• Contour lines with elevation labels, drawn from elevation data
• Free 3D terrain and hillshading
• Buildings, addresses and place names
• Save waypoints on your device for free

Search, routes and gravel roads for free

• Search for places, huts, routes and addresses across all seven countries, with the most relevant results first, even across borders
• Hiking, skiing, cycling and paddling routes from national trail databases and OpenStreetMap
• See a route’s length and description, find nearby routes and highlight them on the map
• Use the gravel lens to highlight gravel roads and forest roads

Stay oriented for free

• Tap the location button once and the map follows you, aligned with the direction you’re facing
• Record trips while you are out. Recording itself is free
• Wear OS: the map is drawn on your watch and is free to use while the watch is online

iLende Pro for trips beyond cell service

• Offline maps: download areas and use them without a signal. Downloads continue in the background, with progress in a notification. Saved maps update over Wi-Fi when the map changes
• Wear OS offline areas: send the areas you choose to your watch. It then works without your phone or a network, with your position, search and a map that follows you and turns as you turn
• Navigation: turn-by-turn guidance on foot or by bike, along trails and roads in all seven countries, with distance left and climbs ahead
• Measure tool: trace a line with your finger, tap point by point, or let the line follow trails. See distance over the terrain, ascent and descent, walking time, the steepest section, an elevation profile and the type of ground you cross
• Recorded trips: keep every recorded trip after you finish. Recording itself is free
