Three classic logic puzzles in one app: Sudoku, Killer Sudoku and Nonogram.

Tessera is built around one idea — the difficulty label should be honest.

Every puzzle has exactly one solution, and that is proved rather than assumed. A tier is named
after the hardest technique a puzzle actually needs, not by how long a solver took to give up. If
a board is labelled Expert, it is because it genuinely requires swordfish or quads; if it is Easy,
singles will finish it. The app knows twenty-two techniques by name and will tell you which one a
hint just used.

PUZZLES
• Sudoku 9×9 — five tiers, from singles to chains
• Killer Sudoku 9×9 — cages and sums, no given digits, as the genre intends
• Nonogram — 5×5 to 20×20 picture logic, no guessing ever required

WHILE YOU PLAY
• Pencil marks, unlimited undo, and an erase that only clears what you put there
• Three levels of hint: where to look, which technique applies, and only then the answer
• Optional mistake limit, with a second chance if you want one
• Drag to paint whole runs on a nonogram, with completed lines crossed off for you

EVERY DAY
• A Daily Challenge of three puzzles, one of each type
• A calendar you can play back through, and one trophy per perfect month

LEARNING
• Three tutorials that are real boards with the keypad live — nothing is a video, you play
every step

OFFLINE, AND MEANT IT
Puzzles are generated on your phone. Times, streaks and awards are stored on your phone. There is
no account, no sign-in, no sync and no analytics. Tessera makes no network request of its own; the
only traffic is the ad SDK, and removing ads removes that too.

Ads appear on the menu, on the reading screens, beside a board while you play, when a puzzle ends
and when the app opens. Nothing ever takes over the screen mid-puzzle.
