tipstir works out the tip, splits the check, and rounds to a clean number. No accounts, no setup, no scrolling. Open it, enter the subtotal, done.

THREE PERCENTAGES YOU CHOOSE
You pick the three, in Settings, sliding each row to the number you want. They sit on the main screen from then on, so the common case is one tap. Not everyone tips the same way, and tipstir has no opinion about which three are yours.

TIP BEFORE TAX, AND TAX YOUR WAY
The tip is calculated on the subtotal rather than the taxed total, so you are not tipping on sales tax. Enter the tax as the dollar amount already printed on your receipt, or as a percentage rate, odd fractions of a percent included. One tap switches between the two.

SPLIT BY THE TABLE
Step the headcount up or down and every figure splits with it, tip and total both. What you owe and what the whole table owes sit side by side, and the per-person amounts add up to the check exactly, with no stray penny. Eating alone, the split figures step aside so the tip and the total stay front and center.

ROUND IT
One tap takes each person's share to a whole dollar and tells you what tip percentage that actually came out to, so you can decide whether you are happy with it. Round to the nearest dollar, always up, or always down, whichever suits you. Tap again to put the check back the way it was.

SHARE THE CHECK
Send the whole breakdown to the table in a text, with what each person owes on the first line.

STRAIGHT TO THE CHECK
Press and hold the app icon for a new check with the keyboard already up, or to jump straight to your settings. tipstir sits in your phone's quick controls too, so a new check is one pull away.

TIPSTIR RESERVE
tipstir is free, paid for by advertising. One payment of $2.99 clears every ad out of the app for good and unlocks check history: each split you work out is saved, with a note of your own if you want one, and a tap loads any of them straight back into the calculator. Check history gets its own shortcut on the app icon once you have it. A one-time purchase, not a subscription, and it restores on your other devices.

NO ACCOUNT, NO CONNECTION
There is nothing to sign up for and nothing to sign in to. The calculator works with the phone in airplane mode, and nothing you enter leaves your phone unless you choose to share it.

BUILT FOR THE TABLE
Large numbers and high contrast, because restaurants are dark. Everything on one screen, because the server is waiting. On an unfolded foldable, the calculator and your settings sit side by side.
