Some of the key features of the Alaap SMS app:

CATEGORIZED MESSAGES

It automatically organizes your inbox into 3 separate tabs.

👪 The PERSONAL tab is for the people in your contacts.
🏢 The BRANDS tab is for all the marketing and promotional messages that you don’t want to check out immediately.
🤵 The OTHERS tab is for those important messages you get from unknown numbers.

Smart filters help you jump straight to Finance, OTPs, Offers, Alerts, and more — so codes and bank messages never get buried.

All this magic happens on your device safely, without any of your personal data being uploaded anywhere online.

OTPs WHEN YOU NEED THEM

Alaap detects one-time passwords and makes them easy to copy. Your OTPs stay loud; your promos stay quiet.

TAKE CONTROL OF THE NOTIFICATIONS

Take control of which messages should notify you and how. You can change the notification sound for PERSONAL messages or even stop notification for BRANDS messages completely.

BLOCK & REPORT SPAM

Block unwanted senders and report scams. Basic scam warnings help you spot suspicious messages before you reply or tap links.

DUAL SIM SUPPORT

Have a dual-sim phone? No worries. Alaap has full support for a dual-sim phone with the ability to easily switch between both sims while sending a message.

PRIVACY-AWARE

Core inbox features work without an internet connection. Your messages stay on your device — no one can see them except you. Optional cloud features (like Plus backup) only run when you choose them.

CLEAN & SIMPLE INTERFACE

The cleanest & simplest interface for an SMS app. The beautiful and modern look and feel will help you find the right thing in the right place in a fun and simple way.

DARK THEME

A beautifully crafted dark theme is available for all users. We have considered each and every element and thought about how it should look in a dark mode. The darkness is pure and ensures longer battery life.

ALAAP PLUS (OPTIONAL)

Upgrade anytime for smarter protection and money tools. Try free for 7 days (where available via Google Play), then subscribe monthly or annually. In Bangladesh you can also pay with bKash, Nagad, or Cellfin.

Plus unlocks:

• Advanced scam protection — catch suspicious senders before you reply or tap links

• Financial Status — latest balances from bank and wallet SMS, in one place

• Finance statement export — export bank SMS to CSV for taxes and budgeting

• Message reminders — full-screen alarms for bills, flights, and tasks so you never miss them

• Scheduled send — write now, send later

• Encrypted cloud backup — back up settings and app data to Google Drive with a passkey or passphrase
