A real voice calls every strike, on the beat, while your phone stays in your pocket.

FightNome is pad-work training for people who already know how to throw a punch and want somebody counting. No video to watch, no screen to follow. You put your headphones in, the coach starts calling, and you work.

WHAT A ROUND SOUNDS LIKE

The coach calls in the nomenclature you already use: pad numbers one to six for boxing, and kicks, elbows and knees by name with the lead or rear qualifier. Calls land on the beat, over music written for the session rather than a playlist that ignores you. Between rounds the music drops for rest and picks you back up on the bell. The calls themselves are in English.

BUILD THE ROUND, OR LET US

Answer a few questions when you start and FightNome builds four starter workouts for your goal, level, discipline, stance and music style. Change anything afterwards, or build from nothing.

Every workout is made of sections, and every section has rounds with rest:

• Striking: a combo the coach calls in order, or reaction mode, where calls come when you are not expecting them
• Conditioning: rope, shadow and bodyweight circuits between the striking rounds

Set rounds and rest per section, move the tempo anywhere from 74 to 128 BPM, and see the whole plan before you press play.

TRAIN WITH YOUR HANDS UP

The session runs from your headphones. Play and pause from your headphone controls without touching the phone. The lock screen shows what round you are in and how long is left. Nothing asks you to look at it.

WHAT YOU BUILD

A streak that counts consecutive days, a rank you earn round by round, your week, month and year as a chart, totals, personal records and every session you have trained, with the number of calls you answered.

Everything stays on your device. There are no accounts, no login and no server of ours.
