Assetion helps companies keep track of physical assets such as laptops, vehicles, furniture, and machines straight from a phone. Every asset carries a QR code. Scan it and you immediately see who holds it, where it is, what condition it is in, and its assignment and transfer history.

The app is built around three user roles, and the interface adapts to the role that signs in.

For Asset Admins
- Add, edit, retire, or delete assets with their asset code, serial number, category, purchase date and price, condition, status, and location.
- Every new asset automatically receives a QR code that can be shown on screen and printed as a label.
- Approve or reject borrow requests. On approval the due date is calculated automatically and the asset is marked as Borrowed.
- Return borrowed assets so they become Available again.
- Approve new account registrations, create users, edit user details, and deactivate accounts.
- Follow up on damage reports and maintenance requests through the Open, In Progress, Resolved, and Closed statuses.
- See an overview on the dashboard: total assets, assets in use, pending requests, pending reports, asset status distribution, and recent activity.

For Employees
- View the assets currently assigned to you, including their condition and location.
- Scan the QR code on an asset to open its details instantly.
- Request to borrow an Available asset by entering the duration and purpose, then follow the request until it is approved or rejected.
- Report damage or request maintenance by choosing a severity level and describing the problem.

For Auditors
- Create an audit session (stock take) for a specific location or warehouse, with a title, schedule, and notes.
- Scan each asset at the location and record its condition as Good, Damaged, or Missing.
- Close the session and see the number of discrepancies between the system records and what was found on site.
- Browse the history of previous audit sessions.

General features
- QR code scanning with the phone camera.
- Asset details including the current holder, location, serial number, purchase date and price, and the assignment and transfer history.
- An activity log of every assignment and transfer.
- User profile with password change, dark mode, and a Help Center with frequently asked questions.

Good to know before installing
- Assetion is an internal tool for organizations. It connects to your organization's own Assetion server and needs a network connection to that server.
- Accounts are created by an Asset Admin, or registered by the user and then approved by an Admin before they can be used.
- The camera permission is used only for scanning QR codes.
