Offcut turns a list of parts into a cut plan you can take to the saw.

Type the parts, type the sheet, and get the layout: how many sheets, where every part sits, and what is left over. The whole thing is worked out on the phone, in milliseconds. There is no server in the middle, so there is nothing to wait for and nothing to sign in to.

WHAT IT DOES

• Sheet goods — plywood, MDF, particleboard, melamine. Parts have width and height.
• Linear stock — battens, 2x4s, dowels, profiles. Cuts have length only.
• Guillotine cuts, edge to edge, the way a panel saw and a table saw actually cut. You will never get a layout you cannot cut.
• Kerf is a field, not an assumption, with a sensible default and a warning when the number looks like a sheet thickness instead of a blade. A table saw eats about 1/8", a band saw 1/32", a router bit up to 1/4", and the difference adds and removes parts.
• Sheet thickness groups the work: an 18 mm part does not come out of a 15 mm sheet.
• Grain direction, per part. Turn grain on for the project and every part gets the orientation you want.
• Imperial and metric, both first class. Type 15 11/16 and it stays 15 11/16. Every number on screen and on paper carries its unit.
• Standard sizes built in — 4 x 8 ft, 5 x 5 Baltic birch, the store handy panel, European MDF, 2x4 and 1x3 with the actual measurements, not the nominal ones.
• Tags for the job — door, upper, drawer — with colour on the diagram and on the printout. Tags organise your work and never change the packing, because mixing them on one sheet is what saves material.
• Switch a part off and the sheet count changes at once. At this speed the plan stops being a button you press and becomes an answer you can argue with.
• Offcuts worth keeping are listed and measured, so what goes on the shelf is on the paper.
• PDF made on the phone: one page per sheet, the key carries on to the next page instead of disappearing, and anything that did not fit gets a page of its own. Print it over Wi-Fi or send it wherever you like.
• Your plan is saved with the project. Open it tomorrow, or next month, and it is the same plan, part for part.

WHAT IT DOES NOT DO

• No account, no sign-in, no email address.
• No ads.
• No subscription.
• No monthly quota of calculations. Run it as many times as a job takes.
• No internet. The app works in airplane mode, in a shop with no signal. The network is used once, and only if you decide to buy the unlock.

FREE AND PAID

Free keeps 2 saved projects, and everything else is whole: parts without limit, as many calculations as you want, both project types, PDF and printing.

One purchase — US$6.99, or the equivalent in your store — unlocks unlimited saved projects. Once, forever. No subscription and nothing to renew, and the app carries on working offline afterwards.

PRIVACY

Nothing you type leaves the phone, because there is nowhere for it to go. No account, no analytics, no tracking. Your projects sit in the app's own storage and the PDF goes only where you send it.

HONEST LIMITS

• It is built for jobs of roughly 20 to 100 parts. Thousands of parts is a different app.
• No sync between devices, and no shared stock list carried between projects yet.
• It does not price the job or order material for you.
• Android phones and tablets, Android 8 and up.

For cabinetmakers, joiners, kitchen fitters, shop teachers, makerspaces and anyone who has stood in front of a full sheet with a list in their hand.
