GRBL-OTG BRIDGE

COMPATIBILITY AND DURABILITY

The application supports the full GRBL protocol from version 0.9 while fully leveraging the improvements of version 1.1 and extended HAL (Hardware Abstraction Layer) capabilities.
GRBL-OTG Bridge is compatible from Android 6.0 :
This technical choice allows you to reuse your dormant Android devices to turn them into high-performance and dedicated CNC controllers.

ARCHITECTURE AND INNOVATIONS

🔹 GCode Runner :
In continuous execution this module loads your GRBL board to the best of its abilities so that it can express its full potential with proactive synchronization on spindle or lubrication commands.
You can set breakpoints or switch to step-by-step mode and activate Nested Control.

🔹 Nested Control :
State management system that allows safe interruption of a G-Code cycle for manual interventions.
The software ensures the persistence and automatic restoration of registers (MPOS, WPOS, G92).
You will be able to freely manipulate the machine then return to the rest of the G-Code execution.

🔹 Easy Probe :
An instinctive approach to probing.
You retain full control of the movement until contact or until a voluntary manual stop.
This system simplifies zeroing by breaking free from rigid probing macros :
Precision at your fingertips.

🔹 Smart Coordinates Agent :
Upon connection the agent aligns the WCS and measurement units (G20/G21).
It proactively identifies risks related to homing or accidental loss of G92 offsets during a session and warns you so that nothing escapes you.
You have the information and the means of action.

🔹 Safe Intervention Workflow :
Cycle stop and breakpoint management protocol (M0, Step-by-Step, Breakpoints).
The software architecture treats safety as a non-destructive function :
The use of the emergency stop button is a normal management state that should never discourage you.

🔹 Macro M6 :
You can define a tool change macro for each profile.
The editor allows you to write it or load a G-Code file.

ECOSYSTEM AND ENERGY OPTIMIZATION

🔹 R&D and Energy Management :
A significant part of our development has been devoted to optimizing system resources.
The application strictly respects Android settings and allows resilient background execution.
You can configure the screen timeout to drastically reduce energy consumption without fearing the interruption of the execution of large G-Code files.

🔹 Lightness and Native Integration :
GRBL-OTG Bridge focuses on the excellence of the USB-OTG physical link.
We have chosen not to clutter the application with proprietary managers.
To import your files the system relies on the native power of Android (QuickShare, NearbyShare, AirDroid, Snapdrop, LocalSend and Cloud services).

🔹 Integrated Diagnostics :
Technical interpretation of GRBL alarms and error codes providing immediate contextual diagnostics to minimize downtime.

For Mathematica Ex Machina the first law is your integrity.
We developed GRBL-OTG Bridge so that your use of the emergency stop is no longer a brake on productivity but a right exercised with full confidence.
By neutralizing the risks of G-Code corruption during interruptions we give you back full control over your machine :
Protect yourself we protect your machining.
