CedarGrove is a net-worth and debt tracker with an opinion: it puts the standard money advice in the order that actually works, tells you which of eight steps you are standing on, and keeps every figure you enter on your own phone.

There is no account to create, no bank to connect, and no server holding your balances.

THE EIGHT-STEP FREEDOM PATH

CedarGrove works out where you already are from the balances you enter.

1. Know your numbers - cash flow, net worth, every debt's rate, every asset's realistic return.
2. Build a starter buffer - about a month of expenses, liquid and boring.
3. Capture free money - a guaranteed employer match beats paying down any debt.
4. Eliminate debt strategically - snowball for the quick win, avalanche for the cheapest path.
5. Build the six-month fund - what lets you hold investments through a downturn.
6. Invest aggressively and grow income - toward 20-25% of gross, low cost and diversified.
7. Own and protect assets - the mortgage decision, insurance, a will, correct beneficiaries.
8. Financial freedom - 25x a year's spending, with the year and the age you reach it.

Steps you do not need are skippable. Each step you finish plants one of eight tree species, so years of slow progress leave something visible behind.

WHEN YOU ARE PAYING OFF DEBT

- Every debt with its rate, balance and what it costs you per month in interest.
- A hurdle rate from your own safest holding, so you attack the debt that beats it and leave the debt that does not on schedule.
- Snowball or avalanche ordering, with the one to attack first named for you.
- A payoff simulator: add an extra monthly amount or a lump sum and watch the debt-free date and the total interest move before you commit.
- Full amortization for every loan - payment, payoff date, interest over the life of the loan, and a per-payment schedule marking where you stand.
- Credit cards with utilization and estimated monthly interest, plus a "paid in full every month" switch so a card you clear each month stops counting as debt.
- Recorded payments for loans without autopay: interest accrues until you confirm the payment happened.

WHAT IT TRACKS

- Nine account types: cash, bank, investment, property, vehicle, crypto, loans, credit cards and lines of credit.
- Dated valuation history, so the net-worth trend is real rather than reconstructed.
- Multi-currency. A base currency you pick, per-account currencies, European Central Bank reference rates, and a manual rate for anything they do not cover.
- Payment reminders that arrive while the app is closed, a few days ahead and on the due day.
- A yearly nudge to revalue slow-moving assets, and a check the day after a payment was due.

THE PART THAT KEEPS YOU COMING BACK

Money moves slowly. CedarGrove keeps a weekly logging streak rather than a daily one, flags the first time your net worth sets a new high, offers eleven milestones from crossing zero to seven figures, and recaps each month.

PRIVACY IS THE DESIGN, NOT A SETTING

Your financial information is stored in the app's private storage on your device. It is never uploaded, because there is nowhere to upload it to.

- No bank connection. You enter the numbers, so nothing has read access to leak.
- No ads, no advertising ID, no third-party tracking SDKs.
- Anonymous usage counts are opt-in and off by default, and never include financial data.
- Crash reports only leave if you tap Send, and go from your own mail app.
- Export a passphrase-encrypted backup file and keep it wherever you like.
- One control erases every row on the device, without uninstalling.
- An optional fingerprint or face lock before the app opens.
- Works offline. The only network call is refreshing exchange rates.

Because we hold no copy of your data, we cannot restore it for you. Export a backup early.

CedarGrove provides educational guidance, not professional financial advice. Interest and payoff figures are estimates based on the numbers you enter.
