Know what's low, what's expiring, and what every dish actually costs — before it becomes waste or a thin margin. Helix Kitchens is batch inventory, recipe costing, and stock control built for commercial kitchens: restaurants, cafes, and catering operations that need real stock discipline without spreadsheets.

Track stock by batch — every delivery gets its own expiry date, supplier, and lot number, with FEFO (first-expired-first-out) deduction, so usage always comes from the soonest-to-expire stock first.

INVENTORY & BATCHES
Low-stock and expiring-soon alerts, negative-stock recount flags, and a full audit history per item — every batch create, edit, and delete is logged and viewable from the item screen. Link a batch to a supplier, or log it supplier-free for informal deliveries.

RECIPES & FOOD COST
Ingredients (linked to inventory or free-text), allergen tags, and cover photos. Set a selling price per recipe, with cost auto-calculated from your linked ingredients' real prices — then see cost, revenue, and profit per recipe in Reports. See exactly which recipes use an inventory item before you retire it.

SUPPLIERS
Contact details and full order history per supplier, all in one place — even after a supplier is retired.

STOCK USAGE
Record sales and waste in bulk, with FEFO deduction handled automatically. Edited and deleted entries stay in the history for accountability, and negative stock is flagged as a clear "recount needed" signal instead of silently blocking a sale.

TASKS
Assign and track kitchen tasks with due dates and overdue alerts. Anyone can see and complete tasks assigned to them — no special permission needed.

ROLES & PERMISSIONS
Owners and Staff, with granular per-area permission toggles for inventory, recipes, suppliers, stock, tasks, and users — so each staff member sees only what you allow, not a fixed role template.

MULTI-KITCHEN
Run more than one location from a single account (plan-dependent), switch kitchens instantly, and copy recipes or inventory between kitchens when standardizing a menu across sites.

REPORTS
Cost, revenue, and waste reporting, exportable to CSV for your own bookkeeping or accountant.

RECYCLE BIN
Deleted items, recipes, suppliers, and tasks can be restored — nothing disappears by accident.
