1. Signal Scaling & Conversions
PV to mA Scaling: Convert Process Variable (PV) values to a standard 4-20{ mA} signal loop.
mA to PV Scaling: Determine the process value based on a measured milliamp input.
Unit Converters: High-precision conversion tools for:
Pressure: (e.g., bar, psi, kPa, inH_2O)
Temperature: (Celsius, Fahrenheit, Kelvin)
Flow: (Volumetric and mass flow rates)
2. Differential Pressure (DP) Transmitter Tools
Accurately calculate the Low Range Value (LRV) and High Range Value (HRV) for level measurement applications:
Dry Leg: For closed tanks where the HP leg is connected to the bottom and the LP leg is atmospheric or gas-filled.
Wet Leg: For applications using a fill fluid in the impulse lines to prevent process vapors from condensing.
Zero Elevation & Suppression: * Zero Suppression: When the transmitter is mounted below the high-pressure tapping point.
Zero Elevation: When the transmitter is mounted above the high-pressure tapping point or used with a wet leg.
3. RTD Temperature Calculations
Convert resistance values to temperature (and vice versa) using standard Callendar-Van Dusen coefficients for:
Pt100
Pt500
Pt1000
4. Process Variable (PV) Analysis
Quickly calculate values for the four primary process variables:
Flow: Differential pressure-based flow and linear scaling.
Level: Hydrostatic pressure-to-level conversions.
Pressure: Static and differential pressure analysis.
Temperature: Resistance and signal-based tracking.
User Best Practices & Safety
Input Verification: Always double-check your units (e.g., inH_2O vs mmH_2O) before applying settings to field devices.
Specific Gravity (SG): Ensure the SG of the process fluid and the "Wet Leg" fill fluid are accurately entered for DP Level calculations.
Standard Reference: All RTD calculations follow the IEC 60751 standard.
Technical Formulas Used
For transparency, the app utilizes the standard linear scaling formula:
